Furry Dude. Fat Dxxk. Fun Drain. Fairly Disappointing. Fxxkin Dutty. 

It’s true that FD can be, and mean, a whole number of things. And he has his friends (let’s call them this for the sake of this piece) to thank for a wealth of fun and exciting possible names he can use. If only he’d thought of this when quite willingly accepting FD as his DJ name, rapidly and untested-ly bestowed upon him in his teenage years. But he didn’t. And so now here we are. And here he is. Floppy Dingbat. 

Luckily for us, it seems he decided to use his ‘Fxxkin Dutty’ pseudonym when he sat down to remix this classic Total Science track. 

‘Kingpin’ first surfaced in 2002 when it headed up the pretty awesome ‘Tuned In’ album and was also given the remix treatment by the legendary Future Cut shortly after. 

Come 2024, it was definitely ready for another update and luckily for us, and for you, FD has delivered a version which has his trademarks stamped all over it - and it’s Fxxkin Dutty.

Subdue returns with a soulful and deep body of work. The Exeter-based producer is back with his latest release, Verde EP. A project that showcases both the lighter, soulful side and the deeper, minimal edges of drum & bass. Known for his atmospheric textures, heavy basslines, and detailed rhythms, Subdue continues to build on his signature sound while exploring new territory.

At the heart of the EP is Side by Side, featuring outstanding vocals from Lauren Walton and the lyrical mastermind, that is Verbz. Together, they compose the summer anthem of the year. Subdue perfectly demonstrates that his production skills are not confined to a single subgenre, offering four tracks that each stand out on their own, from deep, stripped-back minimalism to soulful flavours. The 'Verde EP' has it all, with something for everyone.

Over the past five years, Subdue has quietly carved out a place for himself in the scene, with standout releases on respected labels such as Skankandbass, Soulvent Records, Onyx Recordings, and Transparent Audio. With Verde, he brings together everything he’s been working towards, delivering a cohesive project that highlights his sonic range and evolving artistic style.

This EP marks a new chapter for Subdue, as he pushes further into his sound and cements himself as one to watch in the ever-evolving drum & bass landscape.

Subdue - Feeling Alone

The Dream States series reaches it's mid section with four atmospheric jungle stunners.

NonRev's long-awaiting and beautifully deep remix of Missen's classic 'All U Need' finally arrives, taking the track in a beautiful new direction which stirs into a timeless epic.

Fundamentals returns to Codename with the deep rolling vibes, snappy breaks and dusty grooves of 'Trust Me', before Okee serves up a wonderful remix of Trident's classic 'Feel Good'. delivered in the trademark style of this atmospheric master.

The EP closes with 'Return To A Distant Sun' from label-debutant Hajimeru (an alias of Codename's main artwork designer) - a beautiful GLR style amen workout soaked in beautiful pads and dreamy vocals.

Loxy & Skeptical - Bongo Mania - Dispatch Dubplate 017 - OUT NOW

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.
