Artsea takes time from running his own onesevenfour imprint to return to Goldfat with his trademark melancholy chords, dusty soul and colourful sounds.

‘Asinine’ delivers breaks, ‘hey’ vocal chops, textures of piano, chunky 808 bass licks and various atmospheric elements weaved together with a touch of liquid magic. Nothing asinine about this!

‘Bellbridge’ works in much the same way but digs deeper into the soul. Artsea adds beautiful textural sounds creating dense atmospheres to lose yourself in. It somehow sounds sad yet soothing.

‘Passing Through’ picks up the pace with chopped keys and repetitive bass hits that add a sense of urgency and excitement. Artsea has a knack for using samples that add a cinematic quality and depth to his soundscapes. A beautiful journey.

Closing this EP is the emotive ‘Sorrow Within Him’. Artsea digs deep throughout this EP showing great storytelling and this track is no exception. The vocal samples speak of ‘pain and sorrow’ yet there is something beautifully uplifting and hopeful about his bass and pads. Healing frequencies.

These are difficult times we’re living though and sometimes there’s nothing better than some gorgeous breakbeat blues to sooth the soul!

Charla Green ensures the continuation of Sheffield's long-lasting Bass saga in fervent, viby riddim style! This gifted DJ/Producer and singer is known for her flexible DJ sets, ranging from 140bpm Bass music or Dubstep to a broad picture of Jungle/Drum & Bass. Her sets have been heard at renowned venues from Fabric to Boomtown and Lakota. Charla is also a resident DJ at Wub Club and UK jungle.
Charla grew up regularly attending Iration Steppas' club nights at Sub Dub, Leeds. No wonder her Drum & Bass productions majestically weave in riddim textures and samples that ring bells to all lovers of dubby sounds. Her proper take on all things Jungle and Dub aroused Digital's attention in 2020 on the EQ50 mentorship program - the collective of women working towards fairer representation within Drum & Bass (www.eq50.co.uk).
Charla ties up a closely-knit yet highly eclectic pack of tunes, showing her love for making music, deep knowledge of, and trust in bass-led sound system culture! Charla draws on classic sounds and refreshing vibes newly set within her individual riddim and breaks matrix.
Enter her EP through JUST CAN'T, where crisp rolls meet heavy bass and cleverly sought out sampling, defying the blatant vox workouts we've heard too many times. This one delivers a modern and sweetly light yet charged Jungle stepper. ALL THIS LOVE is what sounds like a long-sought '94 classic itself: exploring a picturesque, dynamic and soulful vibe that would serve as many a set's dead cool intro. DEAD bows to FUNCTION's rich heritage in focused and effective rolling tracks, plus some charming humour and fun attitude. Closing in - RIDDIM BIZNESS sees another collaboration of Charla with Digital himself. A finale, a break-ridden, nicely fluent track - making us all feel her sweet touch!

Completing his epic trilogy of full-length albums, NC-17’s 'Most Violent Year Album Part 3' represents some of this talented producer’s best work to date. Written during the most intense part of the global pandemic, when distrust and paranoia ran rife, society as a whole began to rebel against restrictive measures.

The final act in the series is like the business end of a Louisville Slugger. An album jabbing with heavy tracks and wide soundscapes. Most Violent Year 3 is not just a concept album, but a strong representation of the time in which it was made. A true product of its time.

NC-17 channelled this amplified frustration into his studio practice, the mood producing some of the most intense and dark music from the album series. Heavily influenced by exploitation cinema & late 90s Drum and Bass. NC-17 fuses both elements delivering a unique & high-octane ride to end the series.

Alongside his stunning solo productions, Part 3 includes outstanding collaborations with Exile, John Rolodex, Logam, Philth and Kumarachi. Dispatch is proud to present this incredible culmination of a remarkable body of work.

Fluid Form - High Tea (Out Now)

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.
