Firing up all cylinders, we start our engines for 2019 with the year ahead set to be full of releases from up and coming talents and Addictive stalwarts. We begin with this three track treat from the man known as Objectiv, who first made his appearance on Addictive's recent 5 Year's album with his stunning liquid vibes in 'Obligation'. He returns with this head-spinning 3 track single, demonstrating some solid & diverse productions skills from the London based producer.

Each riddim on offer brings a different flavour to the release. Opening strong with 'Tape Pack', a techy stepper delivering a snappy punch with crispy sticky drums and intricate percussions in the mids. Stalking close behind is 'The Greyhound' in track number two. This fast paced heavy hitting dogger is in a class all of its own and hotly tipped by big headz and music press to trigger an all new dnb Sub-genre. The urban hipster's are calling it a "Rolley Roller". All we know is it will get those subs a woofing! And to finish, a collaboration with producer Teej titled 'Absolute'. Objectiv and Teej's versatility is shown here, with its majestic build-up in the intro dropping out into twisted bassy stabs. A real moody dance-floor killer.

Be sure to keep an ear out for Objectiv as the young producer hones his music making mastery for the next era. . .

OaT from Bochum (Germany) is one of the most promising by starters in the Drum & Bass scene at the moment (in our modest opinion). We`re happy to announce his first EP on our label - "Pleasant Discomfort". The EP is a selection of three very different but still fitting kinda untypical but characteristic OaT tunes. Tyler Frost from Russia did a Remix for OaTs tune "Fever" which makes the EP even more varied and unique.

PREMIERE: Coda & Coy ''91 Roller' [Weapons Of Choice Recordings]

We are back already with these 2 beautifully haunting, liquid tracks from The Netherlands’s Leniz who has teamed up with UK producer Henry on their stunning track “You Got Me” and Australia’s missledz, usually known for her minimal tech, has surprised us with some gorgeous liquid on “Falling For A Dream” and both tracks are Part 1 of Headsbass 3, released 7th August 2020.

The fusion behind this pairing is the gritty contrast of liquid and bass, the light and dark, yin and yang, ups and downs of life. These guys have worked well together and apart to create the perfect singles release.

The immensely talented Erritate returns to Echo Chamber with a brand new two-track offering, taking its place as the follow-up to the heavily supported 'Chi', which received widespread club and radio airtime and premiered over on Drum&BassArena. Known for his rupturing, eardrum-blasting break patterns, paired with obliterating, sub-low bass atmospherics, the young don has carved our a real space for himself in the upper echelons of the grassroots, independent Drum & Bass scene. Not content with resting on his laurels, maximum effort is put into distinguishing each release from the other, always bringing a different sound to the table. It's safe to say it's paying off, and that's evidenced in all its glory here. 'The Birdman' is our pick, weaving in cracking vocal sampling with a typically-barbaric Erritate bassline; watch this space.

OTW Premiere: Erritate - The Birdman [Echo Chamber]

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.
