The Chaos Computer Club is Germany's primary source for futuristic and alternative thinking since the 80s. Each year between Christmas and New Year's Eve, this association gathers hackers from all over the galaxy for a huge congress. Under the given conditions, the convention had to move to an online exile for the 2020 edition: The "Remote Chaos Experience" (RC3). Music and all kinds of arts are an integral part of these conventions - this set is one of the contributions to the four-day streaming marathon that soundtracked the RC3 (27 - 30th of December, 2020).

The Revolving bridge was a portable bridge concept designed by Leonardo Da Vinci intended for military use. The main objective was to facilitate mobility helping armies to navigate unfamiliar terrain with less difficulty, and more easily escape from pursuing forces. A concept that seen from their current musical point of view has a lot to do with it.

“The idea starts from building a bridge between this current abnormality and the return to real life on a sea of ​​sound waves, creating a journey of peaks and valleys around electronics with a horizontal vocation, sound textures and contemporary chamber music”.

a_mal_gam_a took shape, back in 2016, when Diskoan (Juan Peralta) and Josephine's Soundscapes (José Salas) joined forces to create a research platform to explore electronic music beyond conventional parameters.

In this DJ-set they bring the dynamics of their sessions at "Avalovara, club de escucha", a pioneering monthly listening club in Madrid, where the most unusual music and visuals induce the attendees to a special state that encourages active listening and sensory experience mixed with (less conventional) ludic enjoyment.

In April 2021, a_mal_gam_a has curated the program for En Pausa, a festival  dedicated to horizontal music and deep listening.

The session was recorded in the @radio-relativa studios in Madrid.

How to levitate is the artistic project of Spanish musician Tasio Rey. Having played bass and guitar for a few years, the project started as an attempt to explore ambient music with an experimental approach, to then become a blend between techno, dub, and “space” music.

.CHPTR028 'Flying saucers in Torriglia' | Camu

Today’s premiere comes from a label that has, over the last year or so become a close follow for myself and has graced a few of our ‘Bandcamp Pick’ lists. The Mexico City based ‘Secuencias Temporales’, precise artistic vision and breadth of their releases mesh well with us at Delayed and we’re happy to premiere ‘Urama’ off their forthcoming Aucuba Replica release.

If the name doesn’t sound familiar, Aucuba Replica represents the creative output of two Delayed favorites, Adhémar and Olorun. A combination that explores sound design grounded by field recordings and seemingly similar motifs that upon closer inspection contain a multitude of different details. 

Urama and in turn the rest of the release evoke visions of an unnamed jungle, through various states of clarity, light, and dark. The mists obscuring most of the inner workings, with the calls of birds echoing through the trees. Urama is a journey through the depths.

'Urama' is scheduled for release on May 17th

Tunnels (2025) is a piece about shifting realities and spaces. Its story involves an entangled mixture of real and dream-like events.

The piece/story has 2 layers. The first layer is a fictional story about an exploration trip to the underground. After various events (Burried Forest), the main character loses its light source in dark tunnels and blindly navigates to the unknown. He crosses lakes, sees crystal geodes, and hears earthquakes and collapsation. As he tries to find any light source, he finds himself in weirder situations. The physicality of the piece; elemental usage (water, earth, glass...), frequency usage, reverberation, etc is gathered around this reality.

The second layer is about my journey through this semester. The story contains important events from my life, thoughts, feelings, and such. It functions as a diary to me. This personal reality decides my sound material (car, train, sea), musicality (mood), dynamics, and pace, alongside some scenery connected with the story layer.

2 layers have their accented, dedicated sections in the form/structure of the piece. For example, a train sound is ultimately connected with the real life. However, they morph into each other continuously (for example it turns into a rumble, a quake). Thus, they create a unique and alternative story we can call a 3rd layer; the Masking layer. A layer that has petrified as audio, lost its composer's heritage and merged with the listener's story. Enjoy.
