Born in Vienna, DEF Mike is active in the electronic music scene for nearly 20 years now and has experienced many trends in this area. Only late he did decide to work behind the turntables. He developed the right feeling for which music to play to get quickly connected to the party crowd, to inspire them with his sound. Consequently bookings at the best known Viennese clubs followed. 
To enrich the Vienna event scene, DEF Mike also started his own event series called ESESENTIAL. The goal is to connect upcoming international, as well as national DJ acts, to a more music interested party crowd. Playing along with well-known DJs, such as Gramophonedzie, Kruse & Nurnberg, Pirupa, Tony Lionni, Uner, Delano Smith, Evren Ulusoy, Sergio Fernandez, Lee Van Dowski, Adam Port and Mark Reeve (to name only a few), supported by local DJ talents, have turned ESSENTIAL into a popular monthly hotspot. By popular gigs in cities like Chicago, Barcelona, London he was noticeable also abroad - highlights were his gigs at the legendary Barceloneta Beach Party with Audiofly & FACT Artists in June 2013 and also his DJ Set at the famous Flying Circus Party at OFF SONAR 2013. Like any DJ who is into music, DEF Mike began producing his own tracks. It can be observed that his sound is influenced by his preference for deep & tech house with vocal elements and groovy baselines. Dan has been spinning Electronic Dance Music for over 20 years, beginning at the tender age of 14. Originally from the North East of England he has played at venues the entire length of the United Kingdom, including Ministry of Sound and supporting the Cafe Mambo UK Tour, as well as performing at a number of places in Europe and has featured and played alongside BFBS Radio. After studying DJ skills and Music Production at Sub Bass Academy of Electronic Music, London, UK, he has has gone onto release tracks on his own independent record label, DFM Records.

I'm an Electronic producer aiming to integrate different music genres and to explore the synthetic sounds variety.
