After releasing the very tense and politically charged Flowers Of The Revolution album on SVBKVLT, Nahash returns home to France for an EP on POLAAR.

Tides talk about ebb and flow. It is also a symbol for what is taken. When the tide is high on the shore of Western Europe it is low in Haiti. When nations are impoverished in western Africa, wealth is created on the east coast of the USA. Tides continues with Nahash's brand of anti-imperialist electronic destruction, taking tempos faster as we come closer to extinction-level events.

The sounds of this EP works in contrast between heavy drum sound and airy pads and synths sounds mashing together into a sort of mutant Jungle music built from recycled drum loops and 2nd hand Trance CD samplers.

Nahash is joined on two tracks by a prominent French player of the 160-game, SNKLS (@snakeleserpent), who blends his supple modular textures and abstract vision into the nostalgic rave atmosphere of the EP.

Ani Klang’s new self-titled album makes its debut with London-based label New Scenery. Since 2017, the California-based producer and DJ has been cavorting through the underground experimental scene with her suspenseful, palpitating sounds. With fractal, glitching samples, obsessively precise percussion and insane machine-gun kicks, from the very first listen Ani’s sound permeates the brain and refuses to leave.

Georgia-born C Powers is the second artist to join the fledgling Contagion Discs imprint. 'Which Ad Experience Do You Prefer?' is their first release of 2021 and collects four compound tracks that scratch and bump through breaks, house and garage. C Powers has been making tracks and DJing in the South and around the world for well over a decade, while recent releases have come via labels like Sorry Records and Sweat Equity.

Now based in Portland, C Powers has both refined and expanded their vision of a groove-based, in-your-face electronics over the years. 'Which Ad Experience' consolidates that vision, utilizing a sequence of hard breaks, shuffling 2-step and tight, playful basslines across its four tracks. Dub and psychedelia flit throughout the title track and “FishWash”, while “Tinea” and “Lost Extract” channel martial rhythm into seductive dancefloor anthems.

C Powers uses they/them pronouns. 'Which Ad Experience Do You Prefer?' is out on January 29 via Contagion Discs.
