The bustling activity of the Earth colonizers had long since died out, so no one could be found on the deserted streets of «Spaceport 15» except astromechanical droids – local law enforcement officers. Spacelunch was looking for something special here, rather than an answer to another puzzle.

By mixing the serum reagents to study the space-time continuum, the professor hoped to gain access to the primordial hearth and reassign internal directives. After taking the right dosage, he habitually looked at his partner and, barely uttering a word, felt a soft isoteric glow.

The "words" that are sung in this piece are totally invented language and they reflect the creative safe space that we want to suggest with this track, which was also the first one where we brought in Kyle's modular sounds. The remix by Thommie G is really deep and we like it very much.

Windy Plains was the very first track produced for this album and according to Ly Sander probably the most characteristic one. It is built around the very specific double bass played by founder of the Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp’s own Vincent Bertholet. An early version of the album contained almost solely tracks stemming out of this collaboration. The current version is a mix with solely Windy Plains, Transcontinental Hippies and Our Spirit Runs Deep left. Nevertheless, the ultimate strength of Vincent Bertholet resides in his ability to build very unique atmospheres on the fly. Yep, all three tracks were recorded out of improvisation in the same session. A swiss invented percussive instrument completes the atmosphere, the hang!

"It all started as we took our 1 year old son for a little family outing to our local, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As we sat down to watch the afternoon ‘Aboriginal Culture Show’, I decided to field record the performance. Straight away I was blown away by Luthers’ rich and soulful voice. Luther is a proud Yugambeh man, who strives to bond all Australians through song, dance and art. “The Aboriginal culture – the histories, the stories – they belong to this land and so if you are Australian, they belong to you too”, he says.

A few weeks later ‘Jingeri’ (meaning “welcome”) was made through the alchemy of Luthers’ samples and my hardware. I then approached Luther to show him ‘Jingeri’ and to see if he would be interested in collaborating. I was delighted when I could see his enthusiasm for the project and we locked in a studio session. From what was a short, but super productive 2hr session, birthed ‘Nunya’, the second track on the EP. The traditional Yugambeh lyrics “Nunya mulla, nunya bayami” mean “Thanks creator, thanks to those around me”.

The EP titled ‘Jingeri’ was done, all that was left was the artwork and who better to visually represent this body of work than Luther himself. He designed this traditional artwork, which he calls ‘3 Brothers’. In Luthers’ words, “3 Brothers represents me, my 2 brothers, our families and our continuing connection to country and culture”.

I have been a massive fan of the Beats of No Nation family for a long time and when I heard they wanted to release this EP I was delighted. I want to thank Luther for all of his time and contributions to these tracks. I am so happy to have made a new friend and collaborator and am super inspired for what the future holds musically." An uncompromising return is coming and we, as a label, are extremely proud to host it on our frequencies: the internationally known Russian duo @Scsi-9 is back with “Squares And Circles” an 8 track album enclosed in a double vinyl. The 8th record on our elecTronic catalogue is an abstract, geometric but above all analog journey through Anton & Maxim’s souls; an identifying concrete work of research which displays the “two-dimensional & mathematical” approach of their connected minds. The whole LP is musically pervaded by all the sound investigations they made throughout the production period and tells us of all their inner perfectionism and willing to strive for a sense, a meaning to give to a solid composition such as this one. Coming to the raw music itself, they succeed in a complex process of making simple what’s extremely heterogeneous, embodying the psychological theory of the thought against the speech: it’s easier to talk than to think. Well, they talk perfectly through their music which is really difficult to separate into tracks, being such a climax of organic emotions, flowing from the opening “No Rush” with its tight rhythmics and spacey atmospheres to the more low-key and harmonious approach of “You & Me”; rolling on to the firmest and energetic constancy of side B starting with “Get Some Lfo” and slowing down again with the meekest, warm, far-out sensations of “Stairs and Stars”: this track is one of SCSI-9’s watermarks on the album and it’s a drive through an ascendant field of harmonies, peaking at its zenith and oscillating back to a state of peace, letting the last beat taking over. Uncrating the 2nd vinyl we access to the substantial envelope of “Pha In The Hau” and “Systematic”, a track that instantly takes us to an unknown region between the moon, Chicago and Ivory Coast, dancing along to some sort of Zaouli tribe percussions. D side brings the perspective to the edge of SCSI-9’s universe giving us an even closer look to the landscape they’ve created with this treasure album. “303 Views” is the last wind storm on the Lake Michigan, touching all the musical influences that come from that specific area of planet Earth while the last blow “Onigiri” is a soft lysergic guided tour on their very own trigonometric asteroid, with no fear of falling off it. “Squares And Circles” is here and is a determined, hard-lined and intransigent statement of what Anton and Maxim want to communicate us with their vibrations, no matter if you don’t get the whole point, just plunge into the these waters.

It was back in 2010 when Polish artists Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk founded PETS Recordings, the same year when the duo's  sophomore album Escape from Zoo was released – not on the newly founded imprint though. It took another three years then until Grzegorz and Wojciech, commonly known under Catz 'n Dogz and former underground act 3 Channels, put their first EP with Eats Everything out on the label. However, with PETS Recordings the artists have always followed a balanced selection of releasing music from aspiring and renowned artists, from local acts to global players, from Deep House to Techno but always meaningful and foremost beautiful music. For the label's 10th anniversary the duo compiled a 12-track strong various artist compilation coming in three parts and portraying the label's past years musically and hosting tracks from affiliates like Bawrut, Jeigo, Das Komplex, KiNK, Catz 'n Dogz themselves and Studio Barnhus label head Axel Boman. The Stockholmer contributes his take Pink Mist, a rather deep musical approach to the collection. An intriguing chord-sequence underlaid with organs and stalactite sounds as well as sparely used but thus even more catchy spoken vocals Boman creates a track that not only finds a home on the compilation but will do in many DJ playlists as it combines a decent groove with deep melodies that taint one's mind like only love can and therefore hits close to every music lover's heart.

10 Years Of PETS Recordings Part 2 will be released on December 11th, 2020.
