New London label Natural Element kicks things off with the debut release from Fremantle based Jon E. These 3 tracks showcase the producer’s innate flair for slick, sophisticated grooves that evoke the rawness of Detroit as well as the spirit of London’s broken beat pioneers. The A-side offering ‘New Ventures’ is a beautifully crafted piece of jazzed-up house with an infectious bassline and synths that weave in and out to create a warm and uplifting energy, whilst ‘Sunflowers’ on the flip side is a no-nonsense jam with wonky drums, vibrant strings and a soaring synth solo reminiscent of Kaidi Tatham. ‘Where & When’ rounds off the EP with a bouncy, feel good groove featuring jazzy piano stabs and some vocal work from Aeasheiaa. With Lukas Lehmann, a new face joins the footjob-squad. Out of his estimated 7.436 unfinished projects, he managed to complete three tracks, bag a remix and bundle it all up to what will hit the stores as 'This Is Why' EP. The A-Side kicks off with the discoish banger 'Q&H' and a beautiful synth-heavy remix by Lorenz Rhode - not only famous for his releases on Compost Records or Exploited but also for taking Detroit-Swindle-Liveshows to another level with his godlike keys-skills. The deeper side of Lukas' sound is represented on the B-Side. Starting with edgy piano chords, 'Solid/Fragile (Coexistence)' introduces an enchanting arpeggio midway through the track. With its distinctive strings, 'Nothing But A Heartache' makes for a semi-sentimental yet still hips-moving finisher.

Young, family-run imprint Salin Records continues its conquest of clubs and homes alike with their signature brand of classy, jazz-infused house cuts.

Lyon-local Saint Paul is the first guest to contribute an entire solo EP to the catalogue with ‘A Jazz Delirium’, further confirming his craftsmanship after notable recent releases on Better Listen Records and his own Moonrise Hill Material.

There’s a cosily prominent piano on the title track, slightly more decisive vibes on ‘Rap On’ and that wonderfully heart-warming keys and horn combo on soon-to-be crowd favourite ‘O.D. Of Love’. ‘Seashore Groove’ wraps things up with some seriously funky vibes for the hardworking man, concluding what might be one of the most precious packages of the second half of 2018.
