dejana sekulić is a violinist, sound+silence explorer, composer-performer, and indisciplinary artist, born at 43°18’58.5”N 21°54’39.5”E. A passionate advocate for the music of our time, dejana holds a PhD from the University of Huddersfield (UK), where she conducted her doctoral studies at the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM) and the Research Centre for Performance Practices (ReCePP), under the guidance of Philip Thomas, Aaron Cassidy, and Mary Bellamy. dejana's dissertation, titled “Temporality of the Impossible”, focuses on the multifaceted process of preparation of complex pieces from the late 20th and 21st centuries. In February 2022 NMC/Huddersfield Contemporary Records released her solo violin CD baring the same title. dejana obtained her bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Art University of Niš (Serbia), followed by Masters studies and Post Master specialisation in music at the Royal Conservatory Brussels (with Igor Oistrakh, Valery Oistrakh, and Bart Bouckaert), and an advanced program for contemporary music lead by ICTUS (Brussels) and Spectra (Gent) ensembles at the School of Arts Gent (Belgium). She actively performs as a soloist, and in violin and live electronics duo with Gilles Doneux. She is the violinist of LAPS Ensemble, and is part of the art and education research collective People Coming from NowHere. dejana also creates and develops works in the fields of interactive sound installations and multimedia.

I make music for doing dishes or walking the dog or riding the bus. Sometimes it sounds like the smell of the ground after it rains in autumn. Sometimes it sounds like a long summer drive with the windows down.

Sometimes I make music for film/TV/games/radio. Sometimes I make music for patrons.

Most of the time I'm drinking coffee.

Kristupas Bubnelis (b. 1995) is a Lithuanian composer of the youngest generation, currently based in London, United Kingdom. He has written for symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles, and solo instruments. The composer has won various prizes and competitions: G. V. Turner-Cooke Composition Award (2019), Arthur Hinton Memorial Prize (2017), Lithuanian Composer’s Union New Piano Solo Repertoire Competition, Ist prize (2016). His works saw performances in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Sweden. Kristupas actively participates in seminars and masterclasses (Oliver Knussen, Hans Abrahamsen, Ryan Wigglesworth, Magnus Lindberg, Georg Friedrich Haas, Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf, Bent Sørensen), as well as contemporary music festivals (“Crossroads”, Salzburg, Austria). Bubnelis has closely collaborated with various collectives and soloists: Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra (LT), London Young Sinfonia (UK), New Art and Music Ensemble Salzburg NAMES (AT), Art Vio String Quartet (LT), Martynas Švėgžda von Bekker (LT). Kristupas is currently in pursuit of his MMus degree at the Royal Academy of Music where he is studying with professors Rubens Askenar and Edmund Finnis. He finished his undergraduate degree at the same institution, under the tutelage of professor Christopher Austin.

Alexey Logunov was born in Leningrad, Russia. He graduated in 2014 from Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory of Rymsky-Korsakov, where he studied composition with Vladimir Tsitovich and Gennady Banshchikov and was later assistant to Sergei Slonimsky. Logunov studied piano performance at Saint Petersburg Conservatory, mentored by Ekaterina Murina from 2016 to 2018. In 2020, he earned a Master of Music degree in Composition from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with P. Q. Phan, Eugene O’Brien, and Tansy Davies. Logunov is now a doctoral student and associate instructor of composition at the Jacobs School.

Logunov’s compositions have been performed at numerous festivals in Russia and internationally, including From Avantgarde to Present Days, Children’s Earth, Sound Ways, reMusik.org, Musica Futura (Minsk, Republic of Belarus), New music-new reality (Ekaterinburg), Composer 2.0 (Yaroslavl) and the Midwest Composers Symposium 2019 (Indiana University, USA), Performing Media Festival 2024 (South Bend, Indiana) and SEAMUS@40 (Louisiana State University, USA). He collaborated with artistic groups “Musica Futura” and “Dialectic of Sound” from 2010 to 2011. In 2016, he participated in the “Roche Continents” program in Salzburg, Austria. The following year, he joined a concert tour of France’s Atlantic coastal cities as part of the Dinard Réunit les Jeunes Virtuoses festival. He was respectively a scholar of and a student of the X and XI International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky-city and a participant of 2023 Splice Institute (Kalamazoo, Michigan).
