Art helps us make sense of the strange, beautiful chaos of life. When I was asked to create a mix inspired by the Ace of Shields, it felt like the perfect chance to tell a story—one about beginnings, growth, and finding your footing in the world. The Ace of Shields is all about fresh starts and grounding yourself. It’s about grabbing the opportunities life hands you and trusting the journey ahead. It’s a reminder to stay connected to the Earth, to the physical, to what’s real—and to use that as your shield against fear and doubt. This mix is a slice of my life, built from tracks that have touched my heart. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s here for you. I hope it brings you strength, joy, and maybe even a little comfort when you need it most. From my heart to yours—let’s journey together.

Music has always been a real passion. Early Electro and Acid House lead me into the realms of the Rave Scene from 1988 - 1993 and the world of Pirate Radio Stations. Sunrise & Biology enveloped London's airwaves. From there I developed my love for Electronic Music. Organic House, Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House, with a bit of Techno and Ambient thrown in.

Having been actively involved in the music industry on a global scale for over a decade, Perth based DJ Kalon found herself naturally sliding in behind the decks. Her infectious love & passion for true underground music is definitely no secret to those who know her.

Whether it be chunky grooves, driving bass lines, euphoric melodies or percussive delights, Kalon’s roots remain characteristically loyal to all things deep, warm & emotive. Her sets are carefully curated with the intent to consistently bring something unique, whilst always reflecting a part of herself through sound.
With Progressive & Organic House being fundamental to her creative inspiration, Kalon’s diversity also transpires into Minimal & Deep Tech flavours.

Currently a resident for Perth based events crew/record label Restless, you can also catch her playing alongside the Bioma family, as well as various events for Above All Else, Soon Bot and Solouk. Kalon has also graced the decks at some of Perth’s most prestigious festivals, including Blossom, Full Circle and Meliora, and has had the privilege of supporting artist’s such as Mariano Mellino, Ezequiel Arias, Tim Green, Zankee, Eric Lune, KAZKO, Simone Vitullo & M.O.S.

One of the driving forces behind Coco Poco Loco, NTy has spent over a decade as a behind the scenes supporter of Melbourne’s burner, underground music & party community. Behind the decks he delivers a unique blend of organic, melodic and deep house that will take you on a journey and leave you with your feet stomping and your heart pounding.
