Erwin is a Berlin-based producer and DJ, formerly known as Florian Rietze. His music moves between hypnotic grooves and subtle atmospheres. Sometimes driving, sometimes introspective, always with a keen sense for tension and depth. With Arepas Records, he now launches his own label, kicking things off with the debut release Arepas 001, a statement for carefully crafted and detail-driven electronic music.

To mark the start, Erwin visited our pressing plant at MATTER OF FACT, where he sat down with our head of operations, Andre Kronert, to talk about his motivation for starting a label, his love for vinyl as a physical medium, and his vision of making Arepas a platform for artistic freedom and curated sound. We’ll celebrate this new chapter together on October 8th with the official Label Launch Party at Elevate, Cinthie’s record store in the heart of Berlin-Friedrichshain, where music, community, and the idea behind Arepas Records truly come to life.
