We are happy to present 7th release of CES records album ‘DUST’ by If Strangers.
“If Strangers: this concept emerged recently, during Covid19 lockdown, as a result of which, CES - as many other institutions sought ways to continue their existence, by altering teaching process, in compliance with new regulations. Our course at CES (music production and song writing) went along with school's adjustments to lecture in front of lucid screens, divided into multiple windows, which created diverse hindrances, since our teaching methods would not survive through online interaction with the class. As physical interaction now seized to exist altogether, we had to come up with an alternative version of lecturing, which would be both educational, practical and would result in a ready-made product. Our newcomer students on the other side of the screen, (most of them complete strangers), joined us in our online project / lectures, with slim to none understanding of what they were up to. All they knew was group name: ”Collab19", and that it was not going to be our "normal" course. “

"Future Cities is the largest ever survey of the sounds of cities around the world, examining how the soundscapes of our cities across 81 countries are changing and what that means for us all."

This playlist includes our field recording submission for Future Cities alongside Stormy's rework, as well as our rework of a field recording by David Harden taken in London.

Archival Feedback’s working experimental practice integrates wide-ranging field studies with art and the study of the landscape, charting the environment, and exploring place through a holistic framework.  AF contextualizes the fieldwork through sound media and mediums, using these to create experiences that encounter and immerse into the acoustic landscape, relating the human spaces to non-human spaces and relationships in ecosystems in an anthropogenic era. We work imperatively towards using sound art to facilitate a more-heightened listening.

Archival Feedback (Emile Milgrim, T. Wheeler Castillo) are artists based in Miami, FL. The duo expands their range through collaboration with artists, musicians, and scientists, working with print-making, video, and installation.
