After a trip through the Mediterranean with the paramour of my life years ago... these lyrics emerged as an expression of gratitude and love. Yesterday those lyrics found home in this new original composition.

originally recorded as a solo piano boogie, now with a whack of instruments added to sound like a country rock & blues band. With different instruments taking turns at solos, this one’s a pretty fun romp. 

instruments include piano, bass, rhythm guitar, electric guitar, harmonica, slide dobro, organ, drums (all instruments are electronic samples, except me playing piano live, and some bits on drums, organ, and harmonica)

Part 2 of a fictional live set in an open space... say, a café. I don't have any hardware, just a laptop. if I did, and I could play impromptu gigs, it might sound a bit like this...

Part 2 [Sunday Brunch Dub]

One of the last tracks on the upcoming album 'Realms', this song is a character theme song for Rob's character named Lord Banshie, drawn by Masha, for our novel and game series Parallel Tales. 

It's meant to be a companion song to 'A High Ranking Elf at the Lavrinian Court' - https://archmagemusic.bandcamp.com/track/a-high-ranking-elf-of-the-lavrinian-court-instrumental, but strange sounding as if warped by inter-dimensional forces.

Synth parts and drum machine parts, plus the composition of the 2nd half of the song's phonk inspired mood by Rob Ulysses (@rob-ulysses) of Archmage Band. Synth bells, 2nd half of the song's drum machine parts, main melody design and production undertaken by Masha Solo (@masha-solo) of Archmage Band. Additional synths, transition noises, drum and bass guitar parts by Mike Donnelly (@music-for-magicians)

Dementia (Collaboration avec Visions of Dystopia)

Archmage Band was founded in 2013 by Rob and Masha, who are a musician couple and synth pop duo from Australia.

Big News: We're planning out the follow up to our previous album, 'Realm II [Instrumental Prologue]' and it has a release date of May 15th, 2024 (15/05/2024) but it is all almost done! It is a 20-track album exploring an experimental blend of synth-pop, phonk, gothic synth pop, chiptunes, fantasy and sci fi themes, and is also the soundtrack to our story/game in progress 'Parallel Tales' (as is the previous album).

In late 2023 we released a debut 12-track album, as part of the 'Realms' series, 'Realm I [Instrumental Prologue]' on December 12th, 2023 (12/12/2023) We're ecstatic that it's finally finished and we hope you enjoy it. It will be streamable both on Soundcloud and Bandcamp without limits.

Gear:
We use just one synthesizer, the Roland Gaia SH-01, for most of our work, combining it with sounds from Reason Compact and Figure on occasion also using a midi controller.
