This song was begun in 2015 and in 2016 we released a demo of it in 2016 on "The Bonfire Party" demo collection. Re-imagined in 2022 with more parts.

Our intention with this one: an emotional journey through a heartfelt melodic structure, designed for our 'Parallel Tales' game in progress.

We've decided it could fit well onto the Realm III [Instrumental Prologue] upcoming album.

This is part of the Parallel Tales Soundtrack, and features three characters from the story: Thaddeus Fletcher, Anatolio Corelli, and Luvio Sterling.

It started when Masha composed a bassline in Reason Compact, which Bruce Parsons added a classical section to about 36 seconds long, and then Masha added and expanded upon it to create first Thaddeus' song, then the other two.

The Shell & The Rogues (Luvio Sterling’s Theme) - Instrumental

Then She Reaches for the Gun was formed in 2021 by Mat Ward. At its essence is sound collage, Ward invites musicians, sound artists, poets and anyone interested to send him files to be used, abused and showcased ‘as suggested by the work’. They are not always musical but field recordings, spoken word, engine noises and drunken rants. Animals participate a lot too! The raw material is arranged with one phrase asking for the next in an alchemical and intuitive process that will most often feature dozens of tracks weaving in and out of each other, colliding, harmonising, arguing and laughing along the way.

Both the aesthetic and the compositional methods use what Frank Zappa called Xenochrony - the mixing together of separately recorded and rhythmically opposing musical phrases to create polyrhythmic and polytempi compositions.The work also features fragmented story telling with the human voice (in many languages) appearing unannounced throughout the tracks offering up snippets of thoughts, conversations, jokes and existential angst. The absurdity of humanities desperate claim to have any real understanding of its place in the universe is revealed through the recorded follies and genuine emotions of the artists. The project is a celebration of chance, diversity and community. It pays homage to all musical tastes and genres whilst maintaining a sense of humour and irreverence that is needed to stay sane in the climate of 21st Century contemporary culture.

Lock And Load

From the upcoming album "Magic Meets Mad Science" by Archmage Band.

"Emergence | Serendipity" features the idea of our character from Parallel Tales, Riven Halfwaye, as we explore the lens of him being a scientist who has fallen deeply in love, and how he'd perceive being in love when it comes to comparing and combining  scientific concepts with romantic poetry. It explores the concept of good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries, blending the concepts of something appearing for the first time, like a melody in our minds, or the spark of a romantic connection, or a eureka moment.

We made it with Reason Compact and Garageband for iOS.

We were inspired by combining elements of chiptunes with glitch and dubstep with electronic noise pop. Portal 2's soundtrack was a big inspiration as well.
