We worked pretty hard on this percussion and drum arrangement.
As I was putting the final touches on the mix I started liking listening to it reduced in various ways.

Here is the whole song reduced (mostly) to just the drum parts.
I left some of the synth stuff in there on this run to give it a little color.

This is a drum take, three floor tom overdubs, various trashy snare sounds both real and manufactured, some triggers, samples, and manually sequenced electronic percussion stuff I wrote on the piano roll in the daw.

I have enabled downloads on this in case you want to do something of your own on it. Slice and dice it, chop it up, use parts of it - whatever. It is fairly well on the grid and I think it is 90bpm though I am not entirely certain of that because I forgot to look before I uploaded it lol. Time signatures are weird. 9/4 and 5/4 and 4/4 alternating. If you need something removed just shoot me a message and I will mute whatever track and burn you a new mix even. That's how nice we are.

Tales Under The Full Moon by Earnest Woodall
A series of extraordinary events occurred around Nome, Alaska, that culminate in an alleged alien abduction on June 28, 1914. While traveling home from work, loggers come across an unusual looking cylindrical object. Curious, the loggers approach closer to examine this unearthly entity. As they get closer, a bright beam of light from the object strikes the loggers and sends them flying several feet backwards as if pushed by a mysterious force. The loggers were placed inside a slimy cocoon. One of the loggers awake and breaks out of its membrane that made up the cocoon, and finds himself floating in a zero-gravity space. The area contained other similar cocoons, and he was horrified to discover that some of the containers held decomposing human bodies. He makes his way down the hallway to a bizarre examination room, suddenly he is apprehended by two extraterrestrial creatures. Unwillingly the aliens strip him of his clothes and cover him with an elastic material that pins him to a raised platform under an array of equipment and lights in the middle of the room. Despite his terrified screams, the aliens pitilessly subject him to an experiment in which a gelatinous substance is shoved into all available orifices, and he is forced to endure an ocular probe while fully conscious. Trapped on the platform a machine that the aliens use for sexual intercourse, that causes excruciating pain. The aliens then extract his life giving seeds and then place him back in another cocoon where he will decompose. Don’t you know people go missing every day?

This composition started as an experiment in using virtual instruments and an early attempt (in fact first attempt) at orchestration. It is very rough around the edges and highlights the need for me to improve my mixing skills, but I think it has something raw about it. I hope you find it interesting to listen to.
