But PillowTalk isn’t just a hushed conversation before bed — it’s a genre-blurring, soul-stirring band that’s been crafting heartfelt, groove-laden music since 2011. Born one electric summer in San Francisco’s Lower Haight District, PillowTalk — comprised of Sammy Doyle, Michael Tello, Ryan Williams, and Shane Duryea — fuses classic R&B, boogie, disco, rock, and house into something uniquely their own.

Now, 2025 is set to turn up the volume. With a fresh lineup and their third full-length album on the horizon, Body of Work is poised to take over your speakers, energize your dance floors, and light up your festivals. This new LP sees the band evolve again, introducing new members Hannah Noelle (background vocals), Tate Masimore (guitar/bass), Collin Brown (keys/ synths), and the ever-magnetic Greg Paulus (trumpet). The sound? Think jackin’ gospel house meets urban funk, electronica, indie rock, and future R&B — a full-bodied musical experience that lives up to the album’s name.

Rooted in passion and fearless experimentation, PillowTalk refuses to be boxed in. Their motto, “D.A.G.” (Destroy All Genres), borrowed from a legendary underground SF DJ, says it all. With sonic influences as wide-ranging as the Talking Heads, The Police, Kraftwerk, Sam Cooke, Freddie Hubbard, Larry Heard, and Theo Parrish, their music is always surprising, always emotive, always real.

From the studio to the stage, they’ve put in the work, with releases on Bar 25 Music, Crew Love, Visionquest, Life & Death, Dirtybird, Wolf + Lamb, Circus Company, Kompakt, and D-Edge, along with remixes for icons like Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, HVOB, Soul Clap, and more. Their collaborations read like a who’s who of the underground: DJ Tennis, D.O.P., Ruede Hagelstein, Thugfucker, Deniz Kurtel, Tone of Arc, Soul Clap... and that’s just the beginning.

PillowTalk’s music isn’t just made to be heard — it’s made to be felt. Soundtracking your wildest nights, your slowest Sundays, and every intimate moment in between. This is music for life’s full spectrum — for the lovers, the dancers, the dreamers, and the curious.

A creative at heart, Mayank started his journey from the early days of progressive house and trance. With releases on industry labels such as Balkan Connection, Univack, Manual Music Freegrant among many others he has developed a sound that fuses melodies created using ethnic and edgy sounds with underground melodic progressive house grooves, giving hypnotic vibe and atmosphere to illicit emotions and euphoria. Being a major force behind his collaborative brainchild, PhilaDeep, he's part of this collective to bring this sound to fellow fans and enthusiasts through a monthly residency, "Progressions" in his hometown of Philadelphia, along with hosting and opening for industry titans such as Enamour, Yokoo, Sebastian Leger, David Hohme, and many more. With a strong work ethic and perseverance, he aims to push the boundaries in the space of underground progressive and move the masses with this beautiful genre.
