'Bowerhouse' taken from our forthcoming album 'Big Red Sun'. This is named in honour of the Bowerhouse in Maidstone where we recorded the album. The track was previously known as 'Gb 5/4'.


Bowerhouse

Musician: Irish Whistle & Flute, Composition, Music Production, Playing Folk Fusion Music. 

I'm a song writer and theatre maker based in London, Bristol and Kent.  I've recently self-released an album of songs I've been working on over the last ten years called Seasalter.  It was collaboratively arranged, structured and recorded with Miriam Gould, Owen Hewson, Adam Brodigan, Toby Allen and James Conway and it was mixed and mastered by Neil Sullivan.  

We are currently seeking a band name (suggestions welcome), but until we find one Dominic Conway is me and also a we, in a way.  "We" aim to gig this album and work on a new one.  So watch this space for more information.  

Alongside this I work as Musical Director with Little Bulb Theatre.  I also make music with various friends and family and may upload some of those bits and pieces once I get round to recording them.

Arlet are a diverse group of Kent-based musicians, whose music is found somewhere between the folk club and the chamber music hall.

Propelled by the restless creativity of accordionist and composer Aidan Shepherd, their sound brings together all the primary colours of the orchestra - strings, woodwind and brass. A founding musical inspiration is a love of the joyful melodicism and rhythmic intensity of British Folk, but rather than viewing folk traditions as artefacts to be revered, Arlet have drawn on folk idioms as a route to their own brand of carefully sculpted, richly harmonic and lusciously textured music.

Sounding sometimes like a chamber quintet letting its hair down and finding a curious groove circa 1973, sometimes like a session band in the corner of a rural pub suddenly slipping through a vortex into another musical dimension...

I’m a massive fan of SoundCloud and it’s community, we all have vast sonic backdrops in our lives and I’ve spent a lot of time in this garden.
