EMPRO

Empro grew up in Thuringia in East Germany during the late 80s. His interest on the variety of electronic music awakes in the mid-90s. Following the move to Berlin in 2000 and an intense journey through different styles of the new music movement, he quickly dipped into the scene and became an active part of it.

Until today techno music has not lost anything of its charm to him. Empro has the pleasure to play his music in clubs and on festivals all over the world. In 2012 he became a resident DJ at the world-famous club Sisyphos in Berlin.

Empros first DJ gig was in 2003 at Underground Berlin below Alexanderplatz. Numerous gigs followed and within a short time he played in Berlins most popular clubs like Panoramabar, Watergate, Tresor, Bar25, Maria, WMF and Polar TV.

You can describe Empros music as trippy, twisted, dynamic, organic, daisy and always forwards. He is well-known for his energetic enduring TechHouse Sets, alongside he invites everyone to listen, feel and enjoy the music and makes everybody dance like nobody is watching, also himself.

Taken by the desire to create something unique he founded together with Ruede Hagelstein the booking agency Mind The Crap in 2004. Afterwards he decided to set up his own and still ongoing business project „free agency“.

In 2011 he had his own Techno Club called Levee. Besides he is the initiator of varied party series in and around Berlin like HomeSweetHome (in co-op with Marcus Meinhardt) and Betriebsfeier (founded in 2003 together with Coco Berlin). Moreover he supported the Melt!Festival with organizing the Sleepless Floor for many years and was involved in festivals like SonneMondSterne, Fusion and Sonar OFF.

Apart from being a DJ all over, he released since 2006 his own productions and remixes on several labels like BAR25, Heinz Music, Upon.You Records and Freizeitglauben. Empro is currently back in his studio and you should watch out for his next releases.

When techno parties first began, there was only ever one big floor. The art of the DJ was to get everyone dancing and lead the crowd into a state of collective ecstasy.
That ideal still guides me today, which is why I don’t categorise music into strict genres. At the end of the day, it’s all electronic dance music – so I simply take what I like best and mix it together.
I never use pre-arranged playlists. Every set I play is created live, in the moment, in dialogue with the dancefloor.
When I play old-school, it’s exclusively on vinyl – with classic turntables, just like in the early days.
For my current sound, however, I work with a Native Instruments S4 that has been hard- and software modified to my specifications – a customised setup that allows me to shape the music exactly the way I feel it, or the way the crowd calls for it.

But it’s not about me as a DJ. I’m not the party – you are!

BIO: Steven Traue was born in 1983 in Berlin (Germany) and started his DJ career
as »JayKosy« in the year 2000.
For the first years he played in lots of famous clubs in Berlin – like Tresor,
Watergate, Maria am Ostbahnhof, to name a few – and many places all around Germany.
Similarly, like until the present time, he’s an inquiring vinyl-junkie – ever searching for new releases and mixes from artists all over the world.
By the permanent work on his private decks at home he’s looking forward always to build up his skills as a DJ.
In 2006 he started his first music project with his partner Toxy called »Twisted Metaforce«.
They are producing Breakbeat music and released their first record »Mindfunk« on Dirty Funk Records in 2010.
Live-gigs on several parties already caught the audience’s advertence.
In 2007 JayKosy independently launched his own party event called »Wicked Tunes« in Berlin.
Quarterly he celebrates Breakbeat parties inter alia with Leeroy Thornhill, Marten Hørger, Lady Waks, Hardy Hard, Cherry a.k.a. BreakNtune, Freefall Collective & MC Manic,
Baymont Bross, Ed2000, Rollin Thunder and many more.
In addition to that, Wicked Tunes repeatedly has been part of the »Carnival of Cultures«, a great multicultural street festival with 1Million visiters in the midst of Berlin.
Since 2008 JayKosy is a member of the legendary Bass Planet crew, which is hosted by WestBam, Hardy Hard & Lady Waks. 
Since that time he is traveling around places like Russia, Spain, Poland and – for sure – also Germany.

Moon’s Voyager (Arman Abgaryan) is a 23-year-old Armenian producer, musician, and live performer based in Yerevan. At 13, he got obsessed with DAWs and soon found the piano - an instrument that still drives the heart of his sound. 

For over a decade, he’s shaped a sound built on groove, atmosphere, and raw vocals. His live sets are stories in motion - built in real time with voice, keys, and machines. 

He’s played across cities like Ibiza, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Moscow, and more, performing at Souq Festival, Akasha, and The Other Side. His music has appeared on @SolSelectas , @Moodfamily,  @Amselcom and @Leveldva-Music , and connected him with artists like @Parallelle, @NicoStojan, @G-e-j-u, @Iorie, and @LucaMusto. "Tranceporter" origins in the idea to take people on a musical journey that goes far beyond sound itself. 
The Journey of the DJ started in the field of Goa Trance and twisted, psycedelic music that teached a lesson of mixing with a variety of sounds & ambient, preferred over simple beat layers.
The Vision is to give listeners an opportunity of trance within themselfs and a room for deep conection. Therefore the style expanded from all sorts of psycedelic music into house and trance - lately with many aspects of Hypnotic Beats. 

Sets played by the Tranceporter are most often focused on more than one genre and big soundscapes, leading to a depth of vision and trance.

Starting the individual journey in the north of Berlin with Goa Partys and Ecstatic Dance, brought open people in conection and now Cacao Ceremonies and psycedelic journeys find their way into the wide spectrum of the Berlin & Brandenburg -Party- & Club- scene.
