We’re delighted to welcome Around Us for the next edition of the Podcast series. They are a prolific and consistent deliverer of high quality beats, releasing across the who’s who of independent labels. Jan & Gaby aka Around Us are an electronic dj / producer duo from Amsterdam.

In 2018 they celebrated their debut release on Balkan Connection's label. This was the start of a very fruitful collaboration and by the end of summer 2020 they released 52 tracks.

With the support of Dj Sasha on the track "Absentis" and Hernan Cattaneo using there tracks SLEEPING BLUE, BAMBOO, 8 STEPS and UNITED in his resident podcasts they are solidifying there name in the electronic scene.

With upcoming releases on Manual Music, Mirabilis, Mioli, ICONYC, TRAUM, Cinematique and many other labels, the year 2021 is going to be great year for them.

Sjonkel Rolfsen is a vinyl enthusiast and music collector from Trondheim in Norway. He has been welding records at local venues and events for two decades. Nowadays, he mostly enjoys to fiddle around with experimental and ambient in the comfort of his humble abode, but still get the odd epiphany to wonder out into the enchanting world of house and techno. When he is not fumbling about on the decks, he likes to travel. He tries to play with the possibility of combining electronica and leftfield soundscapes, in a mixcast friendly way, catering to your everyday soundtrack needs.

Around Us is a dynamic DJ/producer duo from Amsterdam, known for their deep, captivating soundscapes. Committed to their craft, they have gained respect and a loyal following in the electronic music scene. Since forming, they have released numerous remarkable tracks and have become a prominent force in the industry by 2024.

Their talent has been recognized by top DJs like Sasha, Nick Warren, and Hernan Cattaneo. Sasha championed their track "Absentis," and Cattaneo often features their productions, including "Sleeping Blue," "Bamboo," "8 Steps," and "United." Nick Warren signed several of their tracks to his Soundgarden music label.

Around Us focuses on groove and melody without confining themselves to a specific genre. Jan aims for captivating melodies, while Gaby brings a brighter vibe. Their music, whether darker or more melodic, always seeks to evoke deep emotions.

They have an extensive discography with contributions to notable labels like Mango Alley, Manual Music, The Soundgarden, TRAUM, Click Records, and many other A-list labels. Their passion ensures they will continue making waves in the music world.
