There was something different about him that she couldn't put her finger on. It wasn't in the things he said or the way he moved, nor in the clothes he wore or the way he styled his hair. There was a sense of mystique that lured her in, although he appeared open he never gave too much away. She had to know what was under the surface; there was more to him than meets the eye.

DJ and producer Andy Garvey is kicking off the year on her Pure Space imprint with the second instalment of the label's PROXIMITY compilation series. An exploration of the sounds that form Pure Space's DNA, the release captures the contemporary electronic sounds coming out of the Australian underground. Calling on old friends, new faces and veterans of the country's dance music scene, including Reptant, Moktar, IN2STELLAR and Sam Brickel, the 21-track release touches on everything from electro and breakbeat to techno, bass and DnB.

All proceeds from the release will be donated to Aboriginal Legal Services; based in Redfern it is the first Aboriginal Legal Service in Australia and the first free legal assistance service in the country.

Such experiences are not so easily purged from the lucid gaze of consciousness. Once burned into the mind’s eye and imprinted into the ear’s discerning flesh, your dreams will forever be haunted with everlasting glimpses of that which lurks behind the light. 

Legend has it that an ancient portal to the realm of long-forgotten mythical creatures shall be opened upon the day that this record is played. 

MANA001 by Tadan embarks on a mystical journey of psychedelic and healing trance with a modern twist, crafted in reverence to the goddess Hathor and the protector deity Bes. Hathor, a sky deity who represented music, dance, joy, love, sexuality, and maternal care in her benevolence, was a skilled traveller between worlds, known for accompanying souls into the afterlife. Bes, meanwhile, was famed for his prowess in watching after children, killing snakes, and aiding women in labour by fighting off evil spirits.

Rooted in the late 90s Rave scene of South Sweden, Resver shaped his craft in sound via various stations including Budapest and Berlin before settling in Copenhagen. Following two EPs on his own and Erik Jäähalli’s label In City And In Forest, he is releasing his first full length album on Barcelona based label Diffuse Reality.  

On the album When Your Mind Starts To Slow Down, Resver takes us on a journey through a stripped, raw and synth-heavy sound, that lies somewhere in between Detroit, Berlin and Acid Techno, while also bringing to mind both Chicago House and early Trance vibes.

art-aud is proud to welcome to the label the legendary hungarian trio and acid boyband, Wedding Acid Group, for the first output of the new year! They started jamming together at Ballacid Studio in Újpest around 2009 and did some live gigs, when then they finally released their first thing on tape on Farbwechsel in 2014. They are back now so, after 6 years, with some new fresh material (for the first time on vinyl !), two tracks of pure analog fun, mixing frequencies that are satisfying both for dancefloor and listening pleasure...straight acid for mind, body and soul. To make everything more crispy and fat, we called also on board two other giants such as rephlex alumni EOD and Clone/SHUT knight Ryan James Ford, that brought amazing own interpretations of the ogs. what more to say? it would not be up to us to tell it but...
this is a BUY ON SIGHT : )
