Thomas K. is no stranger to Variance Music, his first ever EP release was on our sister label Variant Electronic as well as a remix for Proceed many moons ago. We are absolutely delighted to welcome on board for his first Variance solo release, this is not his first time on the imprint, he remixed Blurred Boy, and also OLVR/KCRA in 2017. The Italian maestro has blown me away since day one, and its a real pleasure to present his amazing electronic art to the world. His three originals are immense, varied, yet each has Thomas K.s distinct sound that we have come to know and love, from the pounding intro track LIFTOFF to the eerie downtempo track Mars and Escape, and the slower but just as heavy duty SWOTBH, he has gone in all guns blazing for this, and he has provided us with one for the history books in our opinion. On remix duties we have Berlin Based, Irish artist L00M, with his first release on the imprint, he had prior put out a track on the Variant 2000 compilation, and we are in the process of planning an EP for him, so keep your eyes peeled, and ears to the ground, and always, follow Variance Music, for real groundbreaking, cutting edge electronic music. Second up we have another incredible Irish artist, WOME label owner, Another Alias. Another Alias has really been working very hard, his vinyl only label has been getting great praise, and when you hear this remix, I implore you to check his label out, WOME aka White Of My Eyes, really solid music from the Dubliner, an honour to have him on board for this EP, as with every artists, but Another Alias on Variance has been long overdue, more-so considering I know the guy for more then a decade! Last, but most certainly not least we have Ket Robinson remixing Mars and Escape, he has provided an amazing remix, that conforms to his unique sound incredibly, Ket Robinson of course featured on the 4000 Variance VA, and we have more stuff planned with this amazing producer. So keep your eyes on Variance, this is our 5th year in operation, and we have some really exiting things planned. Enjoy Mars & Beyond, and watch this space for more groundbreaking electronic music.

For STG023 we have the pleasure to officially welcome to Sticky Ground the two souls behind Taro Records, Aaron Udy and Elliott Cronin, aka Syrette. 
They have proven to be masters in delivering powerful and hard sounds with a unique grit and dirt that we can't help but love so much. They already delivered powerful tracks in our past VAs, along with a remix on STG013.
But now it's time to dig their work much closer with "Speaking Truth To Power" an EP sums their work up nicely. 
Three brain melters, hammering hard in their own unique way, pushing distortions to the limit (if there's even such thing really) while skilfully holding the reins of the groove. Blasting any of these on the dance-floor will hit hard. Very hard.

For remix duties, we will need to cross St. George's Channel and then step on Irish soil to find two familiar faces, both on their second Sticky Ground remix. 
First, we have  Another Alias with one of his incredible lock-you-to-the-dancefloor works, converting all the energy available in a pure, untamed groove. 
And well, last but surely not least, Leafeater, an artist that has proven to be way beyond open-minded with quality productions wherever he decides to hang on to while being incredibly good in keeping his signature throughout his works. In this remix, we can only warn you, as it will be intense. Enjoy :)

Another Alias is back on Sticky Ground with his first, long-overdue EP featuring remixes by techno legend Jerome Hill and label boss küetzal. 
The EP is called Oddmono provides you with a trio of originals and two remixes that drips groove and grit, showcasing Another Alias' signature sound, with neat spaces and nasty and well-crafted distortions paired with energetic rhythmic patterns.

Tom Demac emerged midway through the new millennium as a producer and DJ whose ability to straddle various genres and styles with ease have been evident in a colourful and bustling production CV. From early releases on his own Electronique Audio label to singles on acclaimed labels such as Aus Music, liebe*detail, Drumcode and Pets Recordings, Demac has also found a regular home in Hypercolour over the years. "Sink Or Swim" here, oozes elegance from the first kick drum to the very last; a brooding build up of melodic keys and tension building pads swiftly evolves into an expansive and emotive main room floor filler, resplendent with huge gnarly bass hooks and driving drums. As everyone, even us an a independent record label we did wonder what we can do tho help, even a tiny bit, everyone who is now infected and who is putting their life at risk facing this virus and giving medical care  24/7. We are in Italy, and we are in total lockdown ATM, probably for another month or so, and every day we see how tough the situation is. 

This is why we decided to publish a digital compilation that includes as many names as possible and will be in constant update until this crisis is over. We wanna include every artist we are linked to. From the smallest to the most recognised, giving all a small contribution with a track.
The sales of this compilation will be ENTIRELY devolved to those who support hospitals, medical care and the people.

Another Alias - Slouch

With over a decade of experience in electronic music, Dublin based Dermot Bateman is making an early stamp on the techno scene as Another Alias.

Firing out some potent newcomer releases on New York Trax Imports, Green Fetish, Variant Electronic, former ARTS sister label Dunsciat and launching his own imprint "White of My Eyes" in 2017.

His musical style is reflective of a large variety of ever changing genres and influences from his life, but he always incorporates his love for thick, meaty drums and tasteful distortion that makes his tracks hit hard and are certain to leave a dent in the modern wave of Techno.
