This September will see the launch of the Benthic imprint with the ‘Assurance’ EP by Tbilisi, Georgia based artist Lucid Void (Arts Gallery).

Benthic is a new imprint coming out Istanbul, Turkey and aesthetically leaning towards deep, dubby and ambient Techno sonically with its releases. Here to inaugurate the launch of the imprint, Georgia’s Lucid Void offers up four originals of hazy, nuanced deep techno.

Leading the release is ‘Envision’, laid out across five and a half minutes with bubbling percussive delays and broken drums alongside menacing bass swells and hypnotic chants. Title-track ‘Assurance’ follows next, shifting focus to robust 4/4 drums rhythmically while stirring in an amalgamation of cinematic synth textures and choppy bass stabs.

Following to kick-start the flip side is ‘Objection’, bringing a circling, dynamic and gritty bass lead to the forefront while resonant, modulating synths and tension building strings ebb and flow atop a dynamic drum groove. ‘Dogma’ then rounds out the release on a darker tip, bringing grinding bass tones, distorted rhythms and glass like chimes into the limelight.

NHM's debut EP on Märked is firm, strong two-step 'n punch techno backed by emerging artists Charlie Sparks and Amstra.

Growling through concrete, marching forward. Seismic Seduction is tunnel-vision, and at the same time, the extraterrestrial keeps you entertained outside the scope of kicks and rolling bass.

Wobbly basses in Floor Sanding switch lanes with smooth and fast percussion. Even though the track has an accelerated pace and is very direct on the grit, the vibe stays sensual and hypnotic.

Rough Concrete writes as it sounds. Double kick salvos coming directly for your spine, medieval screeches pushed by eerie bass synths.

Aggressive Raver is the operator track of them all, gritty stabs and a contagious drive hitting you in your dance muscles. You don't sit still, but instead you two-step and pump.

Rough Concrete gets a strip-down by Charlie Sparks, focusing on a filthy kick rhythm and the ghostly hypnotic voice.

Amstra tops the EP with the cherry, with an astonishing heavyweight remix that was picked up early by 999999999. With another big kick and infectious acidic synth swing, the track is bound to destroy any warehouse or hideout with its progressing and driving energy.

KUSS belongs to the newer Parisian techno scene, having played warehouse parties like Fée Croquée, Pisica, Subtyl, or in clubs like Rex, Dehors Brut, Glazart or Nexus.

He has lately collaborated with Mac Declos, Sina XX, Electric Rescue and released tracks on labels like Warok, Maison Close, Body To Body or Canticle.

He now steps up with his very first EP « Wires » on Skryptöm, delivering four original tracks which are testimony to his production skills and to the freshness of his sound. Moteka and VSK join in the fun on remix duties.
