Shoal – Ular EP [space•lab]

Shoal makes his debut on space•lab with the Ular EP, a four-track expedition that deepens his fluid, percussive and richly textured signature sound. Known for crafting immersive sonic environments, Shoal blends intricate rhythms with deep organic pulses, creating dynamic structures that evolve with subtle precision.

The tracks move with a focused energy, driven by detailed percussion and layered sound design, offering moments of intensity and spaciousness that strike a natural balance. Shoal’s instinctive command of rhythm and tension is on full display, delivering club-ready material, some of which has been road-tested in live performances.

A Walking Contradiction resurfaces with a new release by their friend & collaborator Katatonic Silentio, channeling a collection of tracks submerged in echoes and pressure-shaped pulses. AWC011 traces fluid architectures built from delay, decay, and deep resonance—each composition unfolding like sediment in motion. Sounds sway with tidal pull, suspended in chambers where space thickens and time refracts. Basslines emerge like sonar beneath shifting layers, while percussive elements flicker at the edges, softened by current and drag.

Elastic and disorientated, these underwater constructions are tuned to the language of depth and dissolution.
