Solid Steel in association with Serato (15 th May) In Hour 1 we welcome Charles Drakeford who runs the From The Depths record label, has a regular slot on NTS Radio and is part of the Principals collective. He told us;
"With this mix I wanted to showcase the sound of FTD as the first few releases have began to carve out some ideas of where it's heading musically. There's some tasters from the next two releases in there, and some forthcoming stuff from likeminded labels All Caps and Levels (out to Bake and Jon Rust respectively). 
The culmination of all this results in a mix that's certainly more designated for listening than dance floors. Stringing together disparate musics from all my influences, or at least the mixable ones. 
I'd like to extend a huge thanks to Solid Steel for allowing me to contribute in their 27th year! "

Mix Not So Difficult 2020

Arthur Brouns (°1994) is a composer, arranger/orchestrator and music producer from Brussels, writing music for narrative film, theater and dance.

His work is stylised by its blending of orchestration with contemporary electronic elements.

From the age of fifteen, he developed a strong interest in music production. The success he gained with his early works put him on the stage of Tomorrowland, among other festivals, and at the age of seventeen he was touring Europe to showcase his music.

Over the years, he has built up a large range of experience in the field of recording, producing and arranging music. Now making music for motion pictures and contemporary media, working for clients like Netflix, Nike, TED-Ed, OCS and M6 France.
