'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

This illustration is an homage to Maria Prymachenko’s “May That Nuclear War be Cursed!”, which also inspired the title of this release. Tagliabue’s impeccable groove and sound design combines avant-garde techno and trance aural textures. He arrives on Sound Metaphors’ Bless You label with four new pieces which mark once again his out-of-the-box music approach. A mix of ancestral weaves of Profonda Pulsione, unsettling atmospherics of Plasma and dense hypnotism of Medusa, Onda Sotto’s dominated by enveloping rhythms and transcendental atmosphere. Layered tracks that flowing over alternating cycles, the EP forms a collection of heavy sounds programmed for releasing deep unconscious pulsions and responding to the violence of the world, though not necessarily rationally.

… were you madly in love into something and you immediately knew it’s going to last forever? “How long is forever? Sometimes just one second.”
Hailing from the sleepy town of Logatec, Slovenia, this is exactly what happened to Christian in the summer of 2008, while hanging at some drum and bass party, with no idea he is about to enter an unexplored pathway.

The pathway is not so unexplored anymore. In 2013, Christian surprised the Slovenian music scene with his original approach to dark ambient music, while he was performing on the Radio Študent’s Club Marathon tour.

Since then, he proved his skills and innovation as a participant at the Red Bull Music Academy, performing on different festival stages (like Sónar in Barcelona, Dimensions in Pula, EMAF in Tokyo), as well as in various clubs from Belgrade to London, from Warsaw to Venice. He is currently exploring more electro, EBM, wave and similiar electronic music derivates, forming a strong partnership with Le Chocolat Noir and marking their debute vinyl + digital release, on a freshly established KRI record label, from Ljubljana, with Mannequin Records boss Alessandro Adriani on the remix duty. 

As well as being featured on Osàre! Editions and Marguerite Records, though under a new name of Black Dot. With more exciting news just around the corner. But on the other hand, Christian is also keeping an eye on house, techno music, while being no stranger to industrial or experimental sounds, making appearances on the legendary R&S records, Fabric 90 Mix compilation, Meda Fury, his own Greyhound Days (now defunct), Dimensions Recordings, and most recently an album for Natural Sciences with his alter ego, Alleged Witches. 

A project based for dictating the dance floor, with a tribal vibe drum workout, industrial sounds and also luring you into its deep ritualistic feel. In the meantime, he's also curating Flash Forward radio show, on the oldest student radio in Europe, Radio Študent from Ljubljana.

Timothy J. Fairplay - Hot Night For Slum Lord EP (Snippets)

bijū arose from the need to explore the intersection of machine and body, the need to blur the boundaries between dehumanized electronic sound and the natural environment. Its selection is a constant search between minimalist and dense, dynamic and slow, sharp and blurry sounds. Inspired by the vibration of synthesizers enriched by echoes emanating from the abyss, transforms the soundscape into a psychedelic spectacle.
As part of the Warsaw based Ukrainian collective SUMISH wants to strengthen interactions between people through synergies, exchange of vision and knowledge, building bridges between the migrant community and local society through the different creative disciplines. 
His latest LP "Land of Abundance" was released on Berlin based Sons of Traders Records. Curator of “Healing Machine” radio show on Mutant Radio, dedicated to slow-rolling experimental music.

Having previously released some rare solo material from Ende Shneafliet member Hanjo Erkamp AKA Dr. C. Stein, Artificial Dance is now serving up something special from the cult Dutch minimal wave band’s lesser-known side project, King Ende Shneafliet.

Adding “King” to their name in honour of original dub maestro King Tubby, King Ende Shneafliet produced far more experimental and out-there material than their better-known big brother. They released their first cassette, Dimension Mix Chapter I in 1981 via cult label Trumpett, with batches of follow-up material trickling out on various obscure tapes and later CD-Rs up to the year 2000.

Artificial Dance’s first dip into the Dimension Mix archives – a second vinyl volume will follow later in the year – features selections from Chapter II (1999), which was originally recorded between 1981 and ’88. The magical, mind-altering music is raw, lo-fi, spaced-out and forward-thinking, combining effects-laden, sample-heavy sound collages and reverberating ambient soundscapes with pulsating proto-electro jams, moody minimal wave instrumentals and kosmiche-influenced throw-downs. It effectively joins the dots between early-80s, DIY electronic exploration and dub soundsystem culture.
