Shahrokh Dini
After hanging up his originally chosen DJ name 'Sharokh Sound of K', the cheerful German DJ Shahrokh Dini enraptures many a dance floor under his birth name. Since the 90s he has been making waves with his deep house sets that make trips to Detroit house, disco and more progressive styles. Every summer he can be found behind the decks of well-known clubs in Ibiza such as Sunset Ashram and Las Dalias and he also has various residencies in his home base Berlin.

His own music productions have been released on record labels such as Sasse's Moodmusic, Miss Moneypenny Records and Compost Records Black Label, and have been played by established fellow DJs including Âme, Maceo Plex, Solomun and Ron Trent. In addition to his love for making and playing music, Sharokh has also set up and run several clubs and events, such as his club “Monk” in Karlsruhe, Germany, where he partly grew up.

Sensual Physics

Hi there friends :) After more than three years away from the decks, I'm very happy to be back with you, if you're still out there, with a new set.  Personal life and the weight of the world really sapped me my desire to play over the last few years, and during most of the COVID era I hardly consumed any music at all.  Going to shows and seeing friends again over the last year has really helped reenergize me on the music front and I've managed to fit in a fair bit of digging over the last six months, which brings me here.

Inspired by PiHKAL, dissociation, hushed tones and a soft touch, this set traverses a broad range of BPMs and textures ripe for a proper journey alone or with a close companion.  Downtempo, deep house, dubby beats and amorphous electronica all make appearances, channeling the heavens, the sea and subterranean realms, and bringing forth contrasting yet complimentary aesthetics - sullen/uplifting, dusty/polished, organic/synthetic, subtle/authoritative.  All great tunes, but special shout outs to Canson for his remix of Just Emma's and Zazou's "Baltic Sea", which I've wanted to include in a set for years, and Cornucopia (Guy J) for his remix of Volen Sentir's "The Great Escape" - two of my favorite tracks for sure.  Big up Seven Villas as well, with four tracks from the label included here, and the producer Sensual Physics who this set is named after.

Recorded this one for the drive to lovely Buena Vista, CO to witness a few dear friends tie the knot. On my continued quest to learn the craft o-djing on the rotary mixer and CDJ's.  Month 4 of the new hobby.

I originally did this set for The Silk Road at Caravan Seattle. I am honored to remix it and share these tracks with you, for they speak to me in many ways, filling my heart with joy and sadness and take my mind, heart and soul to far off places. Art is a Berlin-based DJ and producer.

Classically trained as a solo violinist at the Vienna Conservatory of Music in Austria, Art currently focuses on electronic music production and DJing mixing. His style combines natural sounds with modern rhythms.

Art co-founded the DJ collective @diskonodisko which hosts club nights to raise money for charities. DND has a residency at Humboldthain Club, Berlin and is booked internationally.
