Initiating my second podcast series on 'Life in America as an Immigrant.' With so many unsettling tensions currently in the States, I felt the need to share my life story growing up in America as an immigrant, perhaps to give perspective. We luckily had mostly positive experiences and were welcomed with open arms moving to the US back in 2001 and living there all the way up to 2010. I will always have a soft spot for America because it has given me so much.
On the first episode, I share what it was like adjusting to school life, trying to assimilate, make friends, feeling terribly conscious about my looks, clothes, and will share some funny stories about shaving legs! 
This is just the beginning...Much more exciting stories to come about identity, culture shocks, beauty standards, language, from this series, so stay tuned!
