Brooklyn duo Infinite Monkey Theorem's output matches electronic and instrumental influences to craft music aimed at the dancefloor. There's obvious doffs of the cap to IDM, breakbeat and leftfield club sounds but also elements of shoegaze, free jazz and soundsystem music bubbling up under the surface.

For their new release, ChimpGPT, the pair share five tracks of off-kilter club cuts laced with guitars and hypnotic bass lines. And it's all for a great cause too - they're donating all proceeds from the release to UN Women, the UN organisation who do important work to protect women's rights and end violence against women across the world.

For Soft Limits Surrealita prepared a club oriented mix where four-on-the-floor meets broken beats and heavy bass with no genre limitations. The selection consists of both new and older releases with a touch of groovy dancefloor euphoria as well as sound exploring the darker areas. Surrealita is a DJ based in Olomouc where she took her first DJ steps back in 2018. She is a co-founder of Dekadance collective which you may know from their Infame residency series Dekadancing.

Soft Limits 04 Surrealita

Captivating many through their live performances throughout the Australian scene, Polito have installed their expression through their debut LP Collapse Phase. We premiere ‘Signal‘ which incapsulates the mere darker, broken beat side of the quartet, rustling through acid tones and squelchy sounds that provide an incentive to dance.

Polito is a collaboration between musicians Robert Downie and Finnian Langham, and dancers Arabella Frahn-Starkie and Hillary Goldsmith. Like their live performances, Polito have created something memorable and this is only a glimpse into what is to be released on Butter Sessions September 22.

London-based experimental producer @monika-subrt prepares to release her debut album on Slovakia-based NEXT Festival Records, accompanied with a music video for ‘Ylvia‘, directed by Prague-based visual artist Radim Labuda.

Mexican artist Rodman dives deep on his Falcata EP for Ineffable Records, containing five club-ready tracks, with sound textures being the focus, and a remix from WVWV head honcho Octoptic. Following on from the success of his debut La Fragua which featured fellow Mexican, Nico (Timedance/Grid).

The record's title comes from the name of an ancient sword, which is quite apt as the sharp sound-design & impressive perc work slices through the EP from start to finish. It fluctuates between moods, touching on the deeper, dubbed out & echoed sounds of Rodman's palette, and moving swiftly into complex rhythmic patterns that were definitely built with the club in mind. Thus providing the perfect blend between enjoyable listening and being weapons for the dance floor.

Being one of Mexico City's superb up and coming producers, Rodman continues his perfect streak of releases to date with this breathtaking release. Finding itself on a label that shines a light on Mexican artists, it just feels like a perfect match.
