One of my favorite parts of this show is getting to write everyones introduction. This one is special to me because she was one of our first regular listeners. In the beginning of this little experiment, I had no idea what people outside of my small friend group thought of the show, had no idea if it was resonating with anyone, I was just putting it out every week hoping someone out there liked it. This weeks guest let me know she was listening. It meant A LOT to me..it still does. After chatting with her off and on and finding out she was a DJ herself, I asked if she'd like to have her own episode of AJS. To my delight she said yes. Then she sent a mix that blew me away. For real, I was shook! I was like this kid?! Is mixing like this?! It was such an awesome surprise. I was on the socials the other day when I came across a flyer with NEONMYST on it! Opening for Dieselboy and Downlink no less. NEON is about to make quite an impact with a lot of people real soon and we couldn't be happier to host her mix here at AJS. Airbender is a Drum and Bass selector based in North London, being drawn in by the underground flavors of the scene. Taking influence from the heavy, dark and minimal vibes with a techy side of liquid. She’s played in venues such as Corsica Studios, Boxpark Shoreditch, XOYO and has a radio residency on Music Box Radio exploring all of the sub genres while also having a residency at Dalston radio to hone her skills

Nina Hudson
Nina Hudson is a 25 year old singer/songwriter from Hackney. She has written and starred in productions at The Hackney Empire, and her music has featured on Netflix and BBC 1Xtra. She performs a range of singing styles but writes mainly RnB, performing in venues such as The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Brit Awards and Latitude Festival.
