On Saturday Hamo (@altum_music) and I had the absolute pleasure of warming up the main room at the Abercrombie for @thefanclubcollective hosting the Motorik crew. We started off deep and groovy and went from there as the room filled up.

When this song was over, Albert’s mind raced with questions. “I was thinking, wow, what just happened? Veda is a time-traveling sound weaver, blending the pulse of the underground with the softness of spirit. Raised in the nightclubs of Sydney and London, she came of age under disco lights and basslines, where music became her sanctuary, her rebellion, her medicine.

She’s also the founder of Better Together, a female-owned dance party celebrating connection, joy, and community. Veda’s music isn’t about trends, t’s about memory, emotion, and that magic moment when a song drops and strangers smile, because somehow, we all remember it too.

Her mission? To create spaces, sacred & sweaty, where we come back to our bodies, to each other, and to something much bigger than ourselves.

The name Altūm was inspired by the Latin phrase ‘Dūc in Altūm’ meaning; cast out into the deep. 

Altūm draws his inspiration from this ancient philosophy and enjoys exploring mysterious soundscapes. 

Focusing mostly on the deeper side of minimal, house & techno, the audience can expect diverse sets with some unexpected twists to keep the crowd guessing.
