Assault was formed in June 2006 by vocalist Clarence and later joined by guitarist Hanesh and bassist Syaz. After several lineup changes, current drummer Noh joined the band in March 2010 and our newest member Yuda on rhythm guitar joined the band in July 2011- Assault is currently a Five-Piece Death Metal Outfit.

The group debut 4-track EP, titled "The Exceptions of the Rebellions “was recorded with local famed producer Cedric Chew at Inversion Studio in 2010, and it was released on 10th February 2011, garnering positive reviews from reputable metal site & magazine such as locally based Heavy Metal Tribune webzine, the EP was also reviewed on Decibel Magazine, being one of the very few Singapore Bands to be on the world renowned US based metal magazine. 

Assault completed the Southeast Asian tour covering Philippines (Co-Headline), Malaysia, Thailand (Headliner) & Singapore (Headliner) in supporting the EP release in November 2011. In January 2012 the track "Subversion" hit 10,000 views on YouTube within 2 months.

In February 2012, the band opens for Metalucifer (Japan) alongside established bands (Rudra & Draconis Infernum). In September 2012, the band was chosen to be the opening band for Decapitated (Poland) & alongside Nervecell (Dubai) in Zouk Singapore, further establish the band experience on bigger stage. 

In 2013 the band focus solely on the song-writing process for its debut album and commenced of recording begins in late 2013. The band completed recording its debut album “The Fallen Reich” in July 2016 with Typhoon Studio & Inversion Studio.
