From end to end the street was filled with all your wants and needs. You could get practically anything and everything here: sweet spices in beautiful packages; well-loved clothes; hordes of bric-a-brac; dusty vinyl and tapes; hot homemade dishes from all over the world. Each vendor had their own specialty or expertise; nobody stepped on anybody's toes, there was no sense of competition. They were one huge family who looked out for one another.

Dudbridge Garage International return for their last release of the year courtesy of their own co-head Chungo. Alongside fellow label boss LeftLeft, the Lisbon-based artist has moulded the label into a platform for expertly produced UK bass and garage - you'll know a Dudbridge release when you hear it. On the sixth release Chungo draws on these sounds in his own singular way. Over the course of three tracks he showcases his precision at sound design, matching signature chopped and screwed vocals with heavy bass lines and crisp, swung drum patterns.

hree years after their first collaboration, culminating in the release of “The Passenger”, Om Unit and Martyn are back on 3024 with another four track exploration of tempo and vibrations on a new EP called “AJ^6”.

The two ‘veteran’ producers have been highly prolific over the past years, with Om Unit making waves with his massive Acid Dub Studies project as well as new work under his Philip D. Kick alias, and Martyn spearheading and mentoring a robust group of new musicians responsible for no less than five (!) compilations on 3024. What brings the two producers together in the studio once again is the constant hunger for new and interesting sounds on the outer rim of the ‘bass continuum’. Instead of tirelessly rehashing old tropes they are continuously inspired to write new music that’s both current as well as firmly in their aesthetic profile.

‘Basilisk’ and ‘The Trenches’ are great examples of the duo blending odd tempos with dub wise heaviness. ‘Basilisk’ has already been doing some serious damage on the dance floor with its punchy 107 beat structure and headzy breakdown, while the almost imperial march of ‘The Trenches’ introduces a bubbly bass line. ‘Illroy’ and ‘Dragonfly’ both inhabit a dreamier, more melodic universe and have a timeless, ambivalent quality to them, somewhere between a lost b-side of an early 00s Hospital Records release and something on Scuffed. Redacted have unfolded 'Kikazaru_02', the second phase of its 3-part charity series. Kikazaru is the Japanese proverbial "hear no evil'', a mirror to many world governments, institutions and media in a time of crises.

Whilst Mizaru_01 was focused to breakbeats & donated it's revenue to the Ukraine DEC, Kikazaru_02 finds itself deeply entrenched into the field of 140, dubstep and grime. Joining this project are 6 artists who want to support the ongoing conflict in Palestine, so we're donating the revenue to support the Palestinian Children Relief Fund (PCRF). Regardless of what you feel about this war, the large-scale destruction of housing, facilities and infrastructure has left a great deal of Palestine's population in need of urgent aid. Children are the most innocent victims who are at the most risk.

After five years of planning, writing, and refining their sound, London-based production duo Kolectiv are set to release their long-awaited debut drum & bass album, Circadian Rhythms.

The project began in the aftermath of the pandemic, when the pair started setting aside tracks that captured the spirit of a night out at a drum & bass event. Their vision was clear: to create an album that reflects the variety, energy, and progression of a rave – from the first beats that pull you into the closing sounds that carry you home.

“Going out to drum & bass nights, you’d hear so many different flavours across six or seven hours. We wanted the album to follow that same arc – like a circadian rhythm, a natural flow of time, but in this case the cycle of a rave,” Kolectiv explain.

To achieve this, the duo placed a strong emphasis on originality and sound design. Most of the album was built from scratch using their own recorded samples, crafted through sessions with keys, drums, and guitars, and only dipping into external sources when absolutely necessary. Vocal collaborations from PAV4N, Hijak MC, Illmatika and Kerry Donnelly add unique flavour to the project, while carefully placed interludes tie the project together as a complete listening experience.

“This isn’t just a collection of tracks. We wanted it to be a journey – a cradle-to-grave kind of experience – with highs, lows, and moments to breathe.”

The title Circadian Rhythms captures that intention perfectly: an audio diary of a night spent immersed in drum & bass culture, told through Kolectiv’s trademark blend of technical precision and emotional depth.

The project also coincided with a complete studio overhaul, giving Kolectiv a fresh environment to finalize and mix down the record with a renewed sense of clarity and focus.

With Circadian Rhythms, Kolectiv deliver more than an album – they present a story, an atmosphere, and a tribute to the music and culture that shaped them.

🌌 The Legend of the Nebula Narwhal

The Nebula Narwhal is no ordinary creature — it was born in the heart of a collapsing star, where the final breath of a supernova fused with the song of a whale.
