Heart Tear (Ft. Holly Drummond) [Heard it Here First Premiere]

KRAKE is an annual Berlin based festival for challenging electronic music. Krake means „octo- pus“ and the festival is organised in a comparable way: reaching out to selected locations during one week presenting the best in electronic music whatever style it is. The festival is not huge, not expensive, does not have big sponsoring deals or four different colour are passes. It’s just a good and so far successful try to bring back the focus on artists who dare to step off the beaten tracks. 
KRAKE 002 contains mostly exclusive tracks of artists who played at the Krake festival in 2013. The A-side starts with a dark ambient drone by DÄMMERN, followed by a pop-fueled two-step hit by PHON.O. Next in line is Irishman EOMAC with a warm and deep IDM track already char- ted by none less than Thom Yorke of Radiohead, followed by „Resolution“, a little melancholic stepper by BILL YOUNGMAN. 
The B-side is being opened with a techno track by grandmaster MONOLAKE in his most typical dubby percussive style. For the next track FRANK BRETSCHNEIDER reduces the sounds to the max again to deliver a percussive track as minimalistic as can be. Legendary techno producer CRISTIAN VOGEL, known for his constant search for new values, closes the compilation with an avantgarde piece of noise and drones.

This genre-bending journey pays homage to various cultures who have influenced Savej and celebrates their history through a new idea of music. This album digs deep into the ancient idea of music and is packed full of influences and collaborations with SOOHAN, Liquid Bloom, Lil Fish, Johnny Buffalo and Ronnā Yawa. The last ‘Wacomaya’ single is donating 100% of proceeds to the non-profit (Futuro Nativo) to support the solar project aimed at acquiring solar panels for Ronnã’s village in the Brazilian Amazon.  Savej’s album uplifts cultures like this through music, and he created a beautiful exploration through different ideas and many ancient traditions under one cohesive journey.

Lil Fish is back with a beautiful single ‘Sunrising’ May 10th leading into his next EP on Gravitas.  This comes at a perfect time for the French artist, as he has just announced his debut North America tour. We are very excited to get this debut US tour under way, and finally share some live sets for his dedicated American fanbase. ‘Sunrising’ holds true to the Lil Fish downtempo sound that has been supported and collaborated with the likes of CloZee, Savej, Al’tarbara, Josh Teed, Mr. Ours, CloZinger and many more.  A perfect journey through mystical bass and telling a story without a single word, Lil Fish has done it again with this new single and we cannot wait to hear the full EP coming soon.

‘Sunrising’ opens with beautiful strings for an epic intro with distant vocal chants and lush synths that Lil Fish does so well.  Dropping into a downtempo bass groove that will put any listener in a flow state, it slowly builds again into a surreal journey of global bass that leaves you wanting more in the best way.  With the full EP on the way, we can’t wait to hear what is in store.

Gearing up for his debut United States tour, French artist Lil Fish is back on Gravitas Recordings with a mystical new EP ‘Biomechanics’ June 28th.  This EP showcases a heavier sound from Lil Fish while still holding true to his style, and is perfect timing for the incoming dancefloors in America. Lil Fish has been a staple of the Gravitas roster for ages now, and his early work with CloZee and other Gravitas artists helped create the sound best recognized with the label today.  This debut US tour is a big step to bring his music from France to America and has been in the works for some time; with this EP a part of the journey to showcase what is headed to America.  We look forward to seeing this talented artist grow and bring his sound from France to the fans that have waited years for the live experience.
