In the summer of 2012, Killing gods became a new addition to the city of Chicago's rock and roll scene. From humble beginnings, the four piece band has slowly gained interest through their unique brand of hard rock. Inspired by the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, Tool, and Deftones, to name a few, the band has carved a small niche into the scene.

As of July, 2015, Killing gods' newest EP, "Escape", has become available to listeners, as well as their Official Music Video for the song "Bubble". The new release encompasses three songs and a fourth track of spoken word, which the band has created to engage in a direct approach at revealing the subject matter of their music. "Escape" deals mainly with issues such as mainstream media fabrications, the totalitarian state, banding together in unity and urges listeners to become free from the monotony of being beaten into submission by the system that has the desire to steal our freedom.

Becoming known for their high energy shows, these four musicians continue to build on the foundation created only a few years ago in the basement of their drummer, Oswaldo Rodriguez. From the melodic stylings and dirty effects used by their bassist, Greg Sturmon, to the loud, in-your-face riffage created by their guitarist, Daniel Koziel, this group embraces front-man Jordan Gomer's animated on-stage performances, which  tend to catch the eye of the band's audience while producing his wide ranged melodies. Performing at notable Chicago-land venues such as The House of Blues, Bottom Lounge, and MoJoe's in the not-too-distant past, this rock outfit continues to try new things to ignite positive steps in their venture.

Meeting each other through what may be chalked up to fate, this quartet will continue to create their own music while putting themselves on the stage in performance. Their next live show is slated for October 10th at Cairo in the city of West Chicago.

This project started as nothing more than an outlet for a creative fix. The original intention was to be able to escape from other bands we play with and write some new music. The main idea was to be a “studio” recording group and to put out music at our will, but with the enthusiasm to play some shows here and there to support the tunes we put out. We just released our debut album and are currently booking shows!!

We are an original four-piece rock band based out of the southwestern Chicagoland suburbs. We have a diverse writing style and try to create something different and unique within each song. Our songs are meant to tell stories, some real and some fiction, and to paint pictures within the minds of our audience to bring those stories to life.
