I don't release music often (it's been nearly 2 years since my Warbler EP!) so I'm feeling quite a bit of excitement and relief right now. 
This EP came together deep in the isolation of 2020. I had been working on some tunes off on my own and I sent dear Julien a whatsapp message with a playlist of what I'd been cooking. He felt inspired by the parts, and within a few weeks, we found ourselves with 3 originals perfect for his new Satya imprint.

Also happy to have landed a remix from SEPP to round out this package. Absolute stormer of a groover which I think will move some dance floors.

It's been a a real pleasure to collaborate with YokoO, and both as a friend and fellow artist, I'm glad we've been able to cross paths in this way. Hope you enjoy the music.

The original is so dope that we just went crazy with the remixes!!! With some of our favourite producers reinterpreting it in their own typical styles! With our all time favourite Sahale releasing with us for the first time is a lovely cherry on the top…Can’t believe it!!!

Don’t call it a comeback! James Harcourt has returned to forward thinking streams and dance floors with a vengeance over the last year. Aiming to make “contemporary electronic music for both dance floor and mind that engenders a strong emotional response in a modern landscape of throwaway product and short attention spans”, we believe he has delivered big time on this worthy ambition.

Here at Selador HQ, we have been the grateful recipients of much of this output, with ‘Litoloko’ a standout track on our Twelfth Night Showcase, followed by the storming three track ’Fireglow’ EP earlier this year. Each and every one a winner that perfectly encapsulate the current sound of the label, it’s been a marriage made in audio heaven. 

DJ support has been through the roof too, with the likes of Sasha, Josh Wink, Catz’n’Dogz, Super Flu, Quivver, Kevin De Vries and Just Her all on board. "The next in line to dominate UK House and Techno, Versus aka Dave Skehan and Scott Walker are blazing a trail through the British club scene and beyond, having already clocked up releases on world-class labels such as Ultra, Repopulate Mars, Under No Illusion, SOLA and Realm. 

A partnership forged over several years, their chemistry both in the studio and on-stage is contagious. Now, following performances at The Warehouse Project, Ministry of Sound, and their own sell-out Versus & Friends parties; they’re hotly tipped by some of House music’s most influential figures.

After a chance meeting at local radio station in South Manchester, the duo immediately struck a chord. Cutting their teeth selling vinyl from Scott’s own record shop, Dave manned the UK Garage/House department, proving themselves true students of the art. An education well-earned, nowadays they draw comparisons with the likes of Christoph, Camelphat, as well as fellow Mancunians Solardo and Chris Lake with their raw, upbeat, energetic, dirty take on house and techno. 

Versus’s sound is rooted in classic house and rave culture, with tracks ranging from hypnotic warehouse rollers like 2019’s Lick It to soaring mainroom anthems in the vein of 2020’s Afraid in collaboration Dissolut and Nicola Green, all of which have found favour with tastemakers and music fans alike. 

Summer 2021 saw the release of Turn Me Out feat. Praxis and Kathy Brown on Ultra.  Preserving much of both the frenetic energy and heartfelt soul that made the original so beloved, Turn Me Out employs ravey stabs, pummelling drums, broken beats and that iconic vocal, resulting in a real moment of a record that was fiercely championed by Solardo and playlisted on Rinse FM.  

With a full slate of releases planned for the remainder of 2021 and beyond, Versus’s time in the sun is set to continue unabated. "

Now, ready to take on the next chapter, Philip and Miguel begin 2020 with a complete re-branding and launch of their label, Eternal Order.

Sure, the climate out there is blanketed with underground labels, and yes, it is a bit of a daft idea to go about releasing music on their own versus signing records with established labels—but as the late Terence McKenna once stated “This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”

The duo looks to write a musical story throughout the year. With five releases of original music on the books for Eternal Order in 2020, you can expect something different with each release while still maintaining a common thread that is uniquely their own. Planning and writing music this way has given them a deeper sense of purpose while working in the studio—providing the ability to think and create for the long-term rather than simply cranking out tracks in a vacuum.

We get our first taste of Speaking In Tongues in 2020 with a double-sided single, boasting two massive dance floor tunes. Leading off with ‘Oscura’, a track that has a sense of familiarity to it but is richly detailed both in harmonic melodies and groove—it’s a tried and true club track but with a sense of emotion and meaning. On the flip we find ‘Voodoo Moon’, which charges along with huge percussion and a steady bass-line while a tripped-out and detuned horn melody takes the audience through an unexpected journey.

So, jump on in as the boys grab hold of the wheel and head down the rabbit hole!

After a successful 2019 with releases on TAU and microCastle Speaking In Tongues kick off 2020 with the first out of five installments on their very own and enterily re-branded label Eternal Order, namely their double-sided single Voodoo Moon. The single's eponymous track is built around percussive driven sub-frequencies as a mono-chord and multi-facetted vocals, which adopt the chord's tonality, set the basis for thetake before various elements, mainly rhythmical addings, and an eternal voodoo-esque horntakes the track even deeper to the musical sound ritual and maneuvers the audience into a heavy state of trance. Speaking In Tongues start the new decade quite tricky and trippy yet classy and close an existing vacuum in the scene as their Voodoo Moon release has already gained major support from artists such as Toto Chiavetta, Amberoom or Frankey. 

Speaking In Tongues' single Voodoo Moon will be released on Eternal Order on March 6th, 2020.

Atish plays from the soul with a smile on his face. His charm flows as freely as his grooves, and his infectious personality is poured into every performance. The links he makes are not just musical but personal, too, as he communicates the highs and lows of life through his sounds. As an unmistakably warm person, he has quickly built up a dedicated fan base that feeds off his passion and energy. The Atish experience is about more than just dancing - it's about connection.

There is an intimacy and elegance to the music Atish plays whether it's deep house, Romanian minimal, artful techno, or emotive progressive house. Melody unites it all - whimsical keys and curious synth patterns that stir a wide range of emotions and get lodged deep in the memory. For Atish, the challenge is to lead an audience into unexpected new worlds: they won't know how they got there but will be delighted when they arrive. It's a subtle skill he has mastered
while never taking himself too seriously.

His own productions have come on cultured labels like Anjunadeep, Satya, and Stil Vor Talent. The Manjumasi Music label he co-founded with Mark Slee in 2016 deals in house with real heart and musicality. The aim is simply to work with artists whose music they admire; to give a leg up to those who deserve it, then watch them grow, whether with his label or elsewhere.

He is similarly open-minded and candid on social media and recently wrote some software to analyze a year's worth of playlists before discussing the results. He's also keen to demystify the often shadowy and secretive world of DJing and production and open it up to all, which is why he started his own unique party series, Late Night Tonite. Each event started with a sit-down interview with the guest and a conversation about the creative arts before the dancing began.
That now dormant concept led Atish to start his own mentorship program during the Covid lockdowns. He continues it to this day, with students enjoying one-on-one coaching, feedback, and advice sessions in which he shares what he has learned about all aspects of the industry.

In truth, this career chose him rather than the other way around: as a long-time and obsessive music collector, he was happy enough to play on the side around his software engineering day job. But he was making such a mark on the parties he played that word got out and the bookings kept on coming. He decided to throw himself into music rather than live to regret the missed opportunity and hasn't looked back since.

Atish has forged his own path and proven that DJs need not hide behind the music. Instead, Atish is right there to share the moments with you.
