I don't release music often (it's been nearly 2 years since my Warbler EP!) so I'm feeling quite a bit of excitement and relief right now. 
This EP came together deep in the isolation of 2020. I had been working on some tunes off on my own and I sent dear Julien a whatsapp message with a playlist of what I'd been cooking. He felt inspired by the parts, and within a few weeks, we found ourselves with 3 originals perfect for his new Satya imprint. 

Also happy to have landed a remix from SEPP to round out this package. Absolute stormer of a groover which I think will move some dance floors.

It's been a a real pleasure to collaborate with YokoO, and both as a friend and fellow artist, I'm glad we've been able to cross paths in this way. Hope you enjoy the music.

A track I made using a poem from Simon Vinkenoog which he recite at a protest against the prohibition of mushrooms in Amsterdam. I made this in 2012 and never really finished it but still think it's nice to share this with you guys! ;)

oh was für ein krass rolliger warmfrickliger supersound. robag wruhmes kopfnikken ist richtiges kopfnikken, richtiges kopfnikken ist gleichzeitig bein bewegen und hören und,.,.,.,.,.,.,. der erste track frandga ist der einroller schlechthin. wighnomy brothers’ sängerin delhia spricht-singt und das dann auch noch alles gleichzeitig in einer zurückgelehnten art und weise über einen von deepnes nur so strotzendem dancefloor beat. das ding könnte jetzt von mir aus noch ewig laufen stil, während sich die platte mit frandga einrollt sitzt der zweite track wortkabular schon in den startlöchern, um mit beat und ambientartigem geflächt zu laufen zu laufen zu laufen, um dann noch in einem beat beat über alles inklusive vocal macht noch mehr groove in wärme zu explodieren. track 3 beatkutter is dann noch mehr für den dancefloor, genauer ganz dolle für den dancefloor, dass soll nicht heißen ie anderen nicht. doch bei dem ding springt sogar der busfahrer auf, wenn er meine ultra nach außen gar nicht abgeschirmten walkmankopfhörer höhrt, und fängt an zu tanzen. der beat geht nur nach vorn, bassline ist treibend, breaks sind so strikt zackig gesetzt. wow, dance dance dance alles immer in um an mit wortfetzen logisch schön zerhackt. für mk fans bombe. na was sag ich, der rest natürlich auch. lied kopfnikker, ja das kennt man ja...! der letzte track encounters ist ein wenig langsamer, die wortsamples haben den beat immer am kragen, will heißen, sie gehen jede bewegung mit. sehr heiß gemachte flächen machen das ding dann schön rund.

the first track frandga is a warm-roller by definition. wighnomy brothers' singer delhia talks sings and
all of this both at a time in a relaxed way on a dancefloor beat that is more than full of deepness in
a this-thing-could-spin-that-way-for-hours style. while the vinyl rolls warm with frandga, the second
track "wortkabular" is more than ready to roll roll roll on an ambient-like netting of beats to explode
in warmth over another beat beat including vocals. track three "beatkutter" is great on the dancefloor.
best on the dancefloor, to be precise. that doesn't mean the other tracks are not for the dancfloor,
but with this track in my ultra-open headphones, even the busdriver jumps up and starts dancing. the
beat is straight forward, the bassline is driving and the breaks are strict and snappy. wow dance dance
dance. all in around about with word-snippets, nicely cutted of course. a bomb for mk fans. what can
i say, the rest of it too. track four "kopfnikker" - well, everybody knows this. the last track "encounters"
is slower, the word samples won't get rid of the beat, or, to put it in another way, they move with beat.
made really hot. pads are the cherries on the cake.

Manumasi is just one of the several feathers in Mark Slee’s cap. As co-founder, he produced its debut release four years ago. The San Franciscan label now presents more "deep and mysterious” sounds! Radiating both adjectives, “Grapeseed” features three originals and as many remixes. The last of the former, “Bitter Flower,” pivots on a large groove. Adding further depth, vintage organ and acid lines fill out the mix.

Atish plays from the soul with a smile on his face. His charm flows as freely as his grooves, and his infectious personality is poured into every performance. The links he makes are not just musical but personal, too, as he communicates the highs and lows of life through his sounds. As an unmistakably warm person, he has quickly built up a dedicated fan base that feeds off his passion and energy. The Atish experience is about more than just dancing - it's about connection.

There is an intimacy and elegance to the music Atish plays whether it's deep house, Romanian minimal, artful techno, or emotive progressive house. Melody unites it all - whimsical keys and curious synth patterns that stir a wide range of emotions and get lodged deep in the memory. For Atish, the challenge is to lead an audience into unexpected new worlds: they won't know how they got there but will be delighted when they arrive. It's a subtle skill he has mastered
while never taking himself too seriously.

His own productions have come on cultured labels like Anjunadeep, Satya, and Stil Vor Talent. The Manjumasi Music label he co-founded with Mark Slee in 2016 deals in house with real heart and musicality. The aim is simply to work with artists whose music they admire; to give a leg up to those who deserve it, then watch them grow, whether with his label or elsewhere.

He is similarly open-minded and candid on social media and recently wrote some software to analyze a year's worth of playlists before discussing the results. He's also keen to demystify the often shadowy and secretive world of DJing and production and open it up to all, which is why he started his own unique party series, Late Night Tonite. Each event started with a sit-down interview with the guest and a conversation about the creative arts before the dancing began.
That now dormant concept led Atish to start his own mentorship program during the Covid lockdowns. He continues it to this day, with students enjoying one-on-one coaching, feedback, and advice sessions in which he shares what he has learned about all aspects of the industry.

In truth, this career chose him rather than the other way around: as a long-time and obsessive music collector, he was happy enough to play on the side around his software engineering day job. But he was making such a mark on the parties he played that word got out and the bookings kept on coming. He decided to throw himself into music rather than live to regret the missed opportunity and hasn't looked back since.

Atish has forged his own path and proven that DJs need not hide behind the music. Instead, Atish is right there to share the moments with you.
