Year 2021 marks the 25th year as an artist for Mineral. This mix is an atmospheric combination of forthcoming Mineral -releases (especially "Return of Hope" LP forthcoming on Omni Music 15.8.2021 (Update, available at https://omnimusic.bandcamp.com/album/return-of-hope-lp) and "Satellite" EP co-produced with Esc forthcoming on SUBB) plus some carefully selected classics from the past. Solid Steel (18th October) This week's first hour is mixed and compiled by Tom Middleton with Richie Rundle & Joe Muggs, giving us The Sound Of The Cosmos. SOTC as a living movement began in earnest with a 1000-capacity tent at the Big Chill in 2011, where the legendary Tom Middleton hooked up with music journalist Joe Muggs and West Country acid house veteran Richie Rundle to put together a lineup that connected the new bass generation with the kind of celestial exploration that Tom has indulged with for over two decades now. This developed into more gigs and now a label which they showcase in this mix with music from Primitive Eskimo, Blacksmif, Sapience and Silkie, Distal & Mite from the forthcoming EP. This sits alongside a stellar cast including Vangelis, Pearson Sound, Moody Boyz and John Barry for a truly cosmic mix.

Back for another DSR session! This time diving further into the deeper layers of deep house and tech. Went at this one full improv, following the grooves while at the same time keeping it loose, cheeky and unpredictable. A few big tunes put together with some more obscure ones. Various styles and decades. I very much enjoyed the full freestyle element as it opens the door for some raw unplanned in-the-moment results. Expect some deep dreamy and techy vibes, warm solid grooves, and good bits of raw electro. We hope you enjoy it. See you around for the next one! - HR
