Après 1000 et 1 concerts du genre, Mains d’Œuvres organise une troisième nuit garage, la bien nommée “SALE ET SAUVAGE” avec 10 groupes, des performances, des diffusions de clips, des stands de musique et des dj’s sets. Tout ça sur nos 4000M2. Ambiance torride assurée.

Mains d’Œuvres veut rendre hommage à l’une des esthétiques musicales les plus jouées et suivies en son sein. Le garage est très représenté dans la programmation musicale depuis l’ouverture du lieu et par les résidents qui répètent dans ses studios : Cheveu, Frustration, Feeling Of Love, JC Satan, Crack Und Ultra Eczema, Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds, The Monsters, Dan Sartain, Lords of Altamont, Catholic Spray, Crash Normal, Rewinder, The Cherry Bones... 
Au programme : une dizaine de groupes se succèderont sur les deux scènes de Mains d’Œuvres rebaptisées pour l’occasion SALE et SAUVAGE. Des Dj’s officieront parmi les stands de micro-labels, de sérigraphies, etc.

Dreams really come true: when we heard Tomemitsu’s beautiful lo-fi indie songs on the cassette “m_o_d_e_s” back in 2013 we fell in love! Especially the track “In Dreams” followed us around for months. Humming it in the subway, singing along in the car.
Many dreams later we found out that our friend and fellow Hamburger Stefan Marx also loves the song and even named an art show after it. Coincidence? Surely not, so together we made the plan to release “In Dreams” on vinyl.
Luckily Tomemitsu himself was very happy with the idea and even allowed RSS Disco to remix the song. The notorious DJ and production trio upped the tempo to head-spinning 99bpm, recorded additional drums & bass and added several minutes of pleasure.
Finally, the two tracks will be released on vinyl for the first time. Screen-printed records, including a poster in a clear sleeve.

Kangding Ray consistently fascinates the scene with his unique style that is bridging the dance floor and abstract electronic composition, talking equally to the mind and the body. His first record for Figure spans exactly that arc, introducing to the label something both for headphones as it is built for the big clubs.

The tracks on X13 feel as intimate as the artist‘s work on other long players but are focused clearly on impacting the physical realm. Teeming with ideas, he first lets his modular synths sway and turn loosely before switching it to a more bassy and propulsive approach on the flip. Balancing cinematic strings against stepping rhythms, the EP‘s closing track is another prime example of this producer‘s skill to craft something which holds up as an abstract piece of art as much as it does yield a lot of emotional tension.

Fusing a background in experimental music with an ear for stark, discerning techno, Kangding Ray has become a cult favourite since releasing on labels such as Raster-Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts. Alongside his solo work, the Berlin-based artist has collaborated with Sigha as Neon Chambers, contributed on remixes duties for Ben Frost on Mute, Oscar Mulero on PoleGroup and always manages to mix functionality with cinematic sound design.
