Ever since he first stepped in the production game in 2013 with his self-released debut, Newcastle’s Junes has worked tirelessly on establishing an identifiable sound, exempt from ephemeral trends and bound to withstand the test of time. The Berlin-relocated Englishman now escapes from his home platforms Galdoors and Dote to land a round of his typically atypical dub blends and elegantly pared-down electronics on KOC.

A crisp, opium-scented bassy tech number in its own right, “Witching Hour” kicks things off to the sound of rattling darbukkahs, chirpy hats and thick volutes of Prince of Persia-extracted synths. A2 “Vessel” keeps the mystery intact with its curtains of randomly cascading chimes and bloopy signals gone astray. 

Flip it over and let the title-track “Shifting Sands” work its stealth magic on you. Whereas the original takes us on a speleological ride across mineral chambers and bottomless spectrum depths where weird machine monsters and their warped cousins reside in relative tranquility, Aarhus-based producer and Help Rec. boss Central drops the hammer with a shuffling, oneiric reshape primed for an all-organic workout in the wild.

C’est dans sa quête musicale et spirituelle qu’il séjourne quelques années à Londres se nourrissant de la culture underground UK.

Actuellement membre du collectif Lyonnais Ya.R c’est entre electro, progressive house et breakbeat qu’il se spécialise tout en gardant son éclectisme et son amour pour la Techno.

Aujourd’hui il nous propose un mix 100% vinyle aux sonorités techno/trance progressive, mélangeant des artistes comme Juno Reactor, très actif dans les années 90, et des artistes émergeant comme Tapestry Of Sound, le duo d’australiennes Roza Terenzi & D. Tiffany.

SELA a également sorti un EP chez Parallel Connection en 2020, intitulé 2020 CONNECTION, qui sonne déjà comme un classique.

🇬🇧 Born in Valence, SELA has long striven to deepen his knowledge of electronic music, while trying not to lock himself into one specific genre, in order to keep playing rich and varied styles in his sets.

This quest brought him all the way up to London, where he stayed for a few years, going deep into the UK’s underground culture.

Today, he is a member of the Ya.R crew in Lyon, drifting between electro, progressive house and breakbeat, to name a few. He is also still an advocate of techno.

This vinyl only mix SELA put together combines techno and progressive trance, with artists such as Juno Reactor (a 90s powerhouse) as well as newer faces in music like Tapestry of Sound, or the Australian duo Roza Terenzi & D. Tiffany.

He also released an EP on Parallel Connection last year, called 2020 CONNECTION, which already sounds like a classic.

Fabio Vinuesa returns to District 91 to deliver the fourth installment of the label. A five-track EP with essential club material.

On side A we have "Analog Activity" a track focused on the dancefloor with speedy drums, raw basslines and dreamy pads. "Acid Pepa" immerses us into retro style using classic synths and acid hits.

Side B begins with "Self-Programming" heating our instinct showing the most darkest track on the record."Corrupted Data" bring us the electro-cybernetic sound mixing acid basslines and vocal-glitches from Google´s I.A. And finally closing the album “28045” with an evocative ambient sequence.
