After being featured twice on BBC introducing with his first two ‘self-produced’ singles ‘So Relaxed’ and ‘Too Little Time’, Atticus Blue has taken a new approach with the release of his latest single ‘Sundown’. This project is a collaboration between Atticus and ‘52prime’, a California based duo of young music producers. Atticus has a natural talent for writing addictive hooks and catchy melodies in the style of ‘Lauv’ or ‘Julia Michaels’. Couple this with the cutting-edge production style of 52prime and you have yourself a song with unquestionable viral potential. Out 11th of June.

‘Sundown’ tells the personal story of Atticus’ relationship with his closest childhood friend. He shares intimate details of their imperfect relationship, the painful memories and past issues that lead to him writing this song. These bumps in the road end up being a testament to the strength of their bond. Especially in the chorus, Atticus emphasises the sentiment that no matter what, they will always be friends. 

Atticus is a singer/rapper, prolific London busker. His music ranges from fast-paced, hard-hitting pop, to a more stripped back acoustic/singer-songwriter vibe. Influences of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Lauv are pervasive in his sound. 
After going through the motions as a young man, Atticus found music as an escape from his mental illness struggles and lack of direction. The tattoo on his arm saying “It Runs Through Me” is the title of a song by Tom Misch. “It” being music, this tattoo represents the turning point in Atticus´ life.
