"Flippen Bits is the new offshoot from the Amsterdam based Flippen Disks label ran by Monty DJ. While the main imprint sets out to find its own space in between genres to move dance floors while staying non-functional enough for home listening pleasure, this new sub has a more functional approach. Wild and energetic, bass heavy bits for the more playful DJ's in the late nights.

First up is Marok (@letsgomaroki), the Wales raised and Amsterdam based producer, known for recent releases on E-Beamz and Shall Not Fade offshoot Lost Palms, comes in strong with four excellent futuristic bass hybrids. It also contains two MXC reworks created together with Nottingham's @coraliescoob

Coldred EP is a wild ride, it takes you from the heavy percussion title-track Coldred to the acidic stuttering breakbeats of Nightshop On The Way. The MXC version adds a true sub-heavy steppers vibe to the original where they flip TFMPP into a mesmerizing broken beat affair fit for the wormhole. With early support from DJ's like Madam X and mad miran it's an exciting new chapter in the Flippen Disks catalog with loads more lined up for the next year."

Over-cultivated positivism implies the rejection and the covering up of negative emotions… This compilation is here to reminds you to live fully your emotions and only think about what’s best for you. It’s OK not to always look on the bright side of things. Be gentle to yourself.

Maelita - Wifi Is Shit

As we fall back into club season, Typeless looks to the Parisian producer, Trois-Quarts Taxi System, for its tenth release.

This 4-track EP is lined with hypnotic melodies, complex rhythms, and organic textures that converge to create a well thought out and layered piece of production. Trois-Quarts Taxi System explores deep and dark tones throughout whilst simultaneously keeping it bouncy and fast moving, giving it a strong place in the club.

Rizla Ops joins the NHS orbit with his debut EP release 'Aphid' - An offering of functional, mechanical crawlers that hit disparate BPMs and creep into the territories of many genres of club music that predominantly hail from the shores of the UK. The brief collection highlights a generous dose of maximalism and pairs this with a microcosm of jittering, insectoid syncopation.

Rizla Ops emphasises the magnification of the world that lives in between the cracks of our existence through this collection; he examines the harshness as an inevitable aspect of nature with an scathing and uncompromising lens. The steady march throughout is definite; pacey, systematic rhythms are the focal point of the cohesive selection of tracks that make up this impressive foray into the world of collectivized, paired dance tracks.

PREMIERE: Rizla Ops - Aphid (Mafou Remix) [NOSTRO HOOD SYSTEM]

Positioned as a spin-off of natsumi hirota's self-released "pop quiz" series, this album is as dark and impressive as its predecessor.
It opens with "yi._______," a strong, linear architecture intertwined with fat bass and a powerful synth phrase that ripples in the latter half of the track. After a straightforward and authentic techno warm-up with "er._______" that followed, the floor was surprised by the exchange of expanding and contracting samples, and finally, glitchy textures and half-steps blended in perfect harmony. The final track, "san._______", is a perfect blend of glitchy textures and half-steps.

The titles of these tracks are blank, leaving the solutions to the listener. Listen to her unique musical storytelling and try to answer the questions.

The album also includes a version that 85acid owner Naco herself reorganized to work better on the floor without compromising her worldview (bandcamp exclusive).

@Toupaz lands on Grid with a luminous, deep and complex EP. 4 tracks mixing impossible genres with contrast as the watchword.

The lead track Rabatanto wanders between dubstep and techno influences, at once dark with sizzling bass lines and ethereal with dubby percussion samples. A club banger for any crowd.

Genuine Connection is the tool of the bunch, galloping along at 142bpm it will thrill everyone with its ultra-detailed uk bass vibe contrasting with airy and colourful synthesizers.

On the b-side, Birdsong slows the tempo with a slow dancehall atmosphere mixed with deep subs and rap vocal samples.

Islandish, the closing track puts the emphasis on emotions, with sentimental synth lines again combined with dub echoes and dubstep false slowness to create a one-of-a-kind stirring mood.
