Steyoyoke Black is pleased to welcome Arude with a stunning debut performance in ‘Existentia’. The EP features two energetically charged tracks with an underlying sense of longing.
The title track ‘Existentia’ is dominated by a detuned staccato supported by a hectic layer of white noise percussion, while an acoustic smattering of tambourines and tomtoms make it a definite crowd-mover. The staccato wanders up and down the scale in organized disarray thrown into relief periodically by a beautiful warm sawtooth. ‘Existentia’ provides a wonderful example of the beauty of organized chaos and is certainly a well-crafted debut for the label. 
‘Pulsatio’ adds a pinch of house to Arude’s characteristic sound. Classic open hats and a submerged clap push the groove forward. Where ‘Existentia’ is wild, ‘Pulsatio’ hits home with monotonous precision. A compelling melody builds relentlessly, finally leaving the listener seemingly where he started as the break disintegrates into a maddeningly efficient drop.
‘Existentia’ is an energetic package aimed at the club. Toolish at times and intensely climactic, Arude shows that he is not in the business of taking prisoners with his debut on Steyoyoke Black.

'We have been keeping an eye on the skills of Mattia Pompeo for several years and we can say now that he has changed his status from promising to proven talent. He’s back with three powerful original tracks and a huge AFFKT remix, and altogether create this Arctic Circle EP.

Mattia comes with some fresh air from the North to refresh the heat of this summer ’18. On ‘Circle’ we find a hypnotic leitmotiv along a vibrant bass and some analog percussion. All the story is completed by an amazing guitar with an eighties touch. Sincopat’s captain AFFKT offers a different vision of the track providing a super groovy rhythm plus a second thick synth to the cocktail. With ‘Blanc’ you will get a splendid bubbling bass and just a few elements properly placed to get the best on the dance floor. For ‘Arctic’ Mattia develops a new line of treatment focusing on a new monster bass that will surround everything at the dance floor. An epic flavour is added with some delicate strings and pads.'

Following the Stardancer EP and his remix for All I Need To Get High by Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Ae:ther unveils his most accomplished and daring work yet on the highly anticipated debut album Me released on Crosstown Rebels.

Blazing a trail with his natural aptitude for crafting emotive, captivating compositions that have landed him releases on Crosstown Rebels Afterlife and Fabric, Ae:ther presents his debut LP. The album is a painstakingly produced collection of haunting melodies and narcotic rhythms that display his love and inspiration for ambient electronica, deep underground music and introspective atmospheres, culminating in dreamlike soundscapes programmed with taut percussion. The album begins on Stardancer, setting the tone with gentle keys and space influenced licks that portray a cosmonaut ascending into the stratosphere. This moves into the glistening, atmospheric Finferli, where synths depict aliens conversing in a distant, just-discovered world. Sub-aquatic ambient fills We’ll be Together, boosts of energy and intricate melodies weave in and out of the vocal,
locked to the dubby groove.

Ice cold subtlety and the otherworldly electronics of Costes drip slowly like water down a pane of glass. A mood of relaxation and weightlessness continues on Tina, a tender beat combined with pattering echoed chimes. N.62, a special ethereal piece, features warm chords and reduced percussion, gradually developing like the morning sun rising.

Mysterious, playful charm unfurls on Elf, progressive harmony teases towards a crescendo before dropping back into the hypnotic beat. Clark is light and airy, funky melody constructing an interplanetary anthem. Stimulating a brooding mood, fuzzy clicks and glitches dance on the deep bass of Spektre II, conveying dust spraying off the surface of a moon landing. The shimmering ripples of electronica on title track Me fuse with delicate human vocals creating a heart-warming, personal account of Ae:ther’s relationship with his instruments. Trademark bleeps and blips wash over natural broken beats in one last final call to his utopia in the album outro.

Chus & Ceballos’ “All I Want” revives to celebrate Stereo’s 20th anniversary

Oscar L, Dee Montero, and David Morales have signed a new round of remixes of what is one of Nómadas’ most iconic tracks, Chus & Ceballos’ album released in 2015.

We’re going back in time to 2015 to place ourselves during the release of “All I Want” feat Astrid Suryanto’. A track that was Nómadas’ fourth single, Chus & Ceballos’ first album after more than 15 years of producing. An LP that was born under the inspiration for their performance at Burning Man and that resulted in an outstanding project. Now, for Stereo’s 20th anniversary, it’s time that “All I Want” lives a second golden age with a new load of remixes. Back then it was Technasia, Henry Saiz & Marc Marzenit and Fernando Campos that were on remix duties remixes. Now it’s Oscar L, Dee Montero and David Morales who will be taking over those duties. If the original track was characterized by an organic and ethereal rhythm, Oscar L takes it to more earthly lands where the vocals transfer the prominence to the percussion. That added to the synthetic hints results in a strong and quick track. Dee Montero gives to the track his characteristic sparkle right from the start with a new deep nature. Sharper than the original, the track still has persistence. David Morales, on his side, gives us two reinterpretations. The first one a Red Zone Dub in science fiction code. A track in which the prominence is the percussion resulting in the almost total disappearance of vocals. And the second one a Diridimi in which the vocals get their presence back, but at the same time, the percussion is lightened with the introduction of more air.

This “All I Want” ‘s new round of remixes will be available on Stereo from the 2nd of January.
