Berlin lynchpins Jacob Phono and Jens Bond continue a fine run of collaborative EPs on Steve Bug's ever-reliable Audiomatique imprint. Deadly deep, dark and detailed, all 3 tracks are intense, club-ready excursions along the border between house and techno. 

As you'd expect from DJs with residencies at Katerholzig and Watergate respectively, this is music primed for the dancefloor, each intricate rhythm no doubt testament to Bond's years of training and experience as a drummer. 

The title track is deep and spacious, with a spoken word sample and eerie interlude of feedback that shows the duo have more than a few beguiling tricks up their sleeves.

'Ion' meanwhile is a masterclass in sub bass, a relentless groove that expands and contracts around body and mind, precision-engineered for peak-time deployment. 'Jane's Addiction' rounds things off, stripped back, with a dub techno sensibility to its circling reverberations; it's intense, hypnotic and utterly immersive. 

Across all three tracks, it's the little details that stand out: the split-second snatch of distant choric voices that offers a moment of respite in "Jane's Addiction", the shimmering vibes and wind chimes of "Affects The Spirit." Much more than functional, this is the work of exceptional imaginations.

Aaryon enhances ‘Morpho Cypris’ with a deeper more melodic vibe. The synth lines are intense and the chord progressions uplifting, with the breakdown being of significance in this remix. Aaryon definitely unleashes his love for haunting melodies and lush soundscapes.

"Far From Us » opens this EP on a melancholic and hopeful atmosphere with a beautiful etheral breakdown. Its impressive technicality, made of real musician takes, precise arrangements, subtle to ridiculous modulations and a radical mixing was meant to bring an incredible journey to the listeners.
"Bongolistic" and "9" are really straightforward catchy tracks, aim to provide perfect tools for the DJ. They are both essentially made of live recorded percussions that brings a classy human touch to the electronic atmosphere. With no doubts, these two tracks should bring a feel of magic and originality to any playlist.

It’s time to deliver the second EP from Adana Twins’ latest mix compilation and with this one we set the focus to the more organic and off kilter leanings from Lehar, SBTH, Acid Pauli, Musumeci and Stereocalypse. 

Kicking things off is Italy’s Lehar with his super slick ‘Blue Wolf’ where robust percussions culminate in a potent groove laying the foundation for lush sonic melodies that transport you into uniquely sublime spaces. SBTH follows with the exceptionally unique ‘4W1R6’ where they forgo the standard four-to-the-floor approach and employ a distinguished and uncommonly unique 3/4 time signature to full effect creating a swelling and brooding number assuring a definite, clear memory long after it ends. 

Flipping to the B-side we see the renowned Acid Pauli in top form as he relies heavily on thick organic percussion and plush musicality with his ‘Greetings From Orgonon’ before switching gears as Musumeci delivers a stunner with ‘Invaders’ where past meets present as Disco, Techno and House all meet in one harmonious culmination. To round out the EP, Stereocalypse’s ‘Jubeelee!’ is an expertly crafted venture into the modern techniques of infectious Afro-House concluding an extremely well rounded EP showcasing the diversity of Adana Twins selection and diversity.
