I really like Octopath Traveler's soundtrack.  For good reason too, it's very reminiscent of the golden age of Square JRPGs to me, back when the composer only had so many tools to work with, so they were forced to write memorable melodies.  Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, and Secret of Mana were all examples of this, and I find Octopath Traveler to be of a similar style (for those familiar, Ophilia's theme really reminds me of Celes's Theme from FFVI).  I was instantly hooked on the melodic hooks of Octopath's score.  

Speaking of which, this is an arrangement of Ophilia's theme, as well as the music to her hometown, Flamesgrace.  There is definitely a bittersweet nostalgic quality to Ophilia's theme, with a feeling of hope despite being surrounded by tragedy.   And Flamesgrace screams comfort in the midst of a cold, unforgiving landscape.  It was my intent to encompass all of these feelings into this arrangement.

Oh and I'm also in the works of creating a Patreon for those who wish to support me.  I figure the more support I get, the more time I can spend on endeavors like this (life of the freelance musician and whatnot), and I'll be sure to include some nice benefits :) I'll share the details of that in the next upload. Ophilia, The Cleric/Flamesgrace, Guiding Light - Orchestral Arrangement (Octopath Traveler)

As a professional musician and avid gamer, it is both a career and passion of mine create music for video games. Here you will find a collection of both compositions that I have done for various video games and projects, as well as arrangements of pre-existing video game compositions.

I make music with Musescore to create background tracks for specific places or moments in my Fanfiction.  I am trying out mixing with Reaper and it's a journey.
