Seit seiner Jugend ist Sören Funk aka Mr. Funk von elektronischer Musik geprägt. Mit 14 Jahren erlebte er sein erstes Fusion Festival – inklusive einer ersten Afri-Cola – und entdeckte dabei seine Leidenschaft für elektronische Klänge und Clubkultur. Schon mit 15 begann er selbst aufzulegen und blieb der Szene seither treu.

Über die Jahre war er nicht nur als DJ aktiv, sondern auch als Fotograf und Videograf (@soerenfunk) ein fester Teil der Community: zunächst in Frankfurt und Offenbach, später in Zürich, wo er Clubs und Festivals visuell begleitete und die besondere Energie elektronischer Musikevents einfing. Seine Liebe zum Nachtleben ist bis heute ungebrochen – genauso wie seine Begeisterung für Day Dances und Festivals unter freiem Himmel, wo Musik und Gemeinschaft auf besondere Weise verschmelzen.

Heute liegt sein Fokus wieder verstärkt auf dem eigenen künstlerischen Ausdruck. Seine Sets sind abwechslungsreich, melodisch und voller Groove – eine Reise, je nach Stimmung, durch Melodic & Progressive Techno, House, Acid, Psy-Tech, Downtempo und Drum’n’Bass. 

Musik, die dazu einlädt, die Augen zu schließen, den Moment zu spüren und sich dem Tanz hinzugeben.

Als Teil des Parea Kollektivs Konstanz (@parea_konstanz) steht Mr. Funk zudem für Feiern mit Sinn: Gemeinschaft, gute Vibes und die Unterstützung sozialer Projekte.
