“...Divine Ritual is an transdisciplinary project that moves between the dimensions of performance art and live creation. The experimental landscape is primarily constituted by the relationship between performers and spectators, within a creative path aimed at generating a ritual. The spectator, with their presence, will be a founding part of the creative design of the ritual itself. The ritual, which draws on the essential elements of Greek mythology, particularly the myth of Persephone and the Eleusinian Mysteries, is the archetypal experience in which sound and body are fused together, energy and matter converge in a single language, and full immersion between the terrestrial world and the cosmos is achieved. In an experimental process, the manipulation of electronic music sound will rhythmically punctuate the various moments, reaching a peak of tension and sonic pressure, determining the foundations of the ritual action, serving as a moment of ablution and then of expressive effusion for the performers, exploring the possibility of alerting the body enveloped in an uninterrupted sonic envelope and exposed to a collective vibration in which it is impossible to perceive a separation between performers and spectators. From listening to this inspiration, and guided by intuition and perception, the performers will linger in an empirical area with the sole support of three dramaturgical keys: DESCENT, SEARCH, ASCENT (as in the diachronic sequence of the Eleusinian Mysteries). This dramaturgical fabric serves as a generative principle: the architecture of the event will be articulated in an open itinerary of meta-spatio-temporal experiment...”

Wa Wu We is the artist alias and label from Sebastian Mullaert. This is the third chapter, crafted in the Swedish woods. The fi rst 6 episodes of the Wa Wu We label will form a collection of records, united by their significant and unique cover art and the way they’ve been recorded; this being the focus on improvising expression, resting in meditation and the nature surrounding Sebastian’s studio. All 6 of these episodes will be limited to 500 copies each.

Belgrade-born and Dusseldorf-based, https://soundcloud.com/vladimir is a singular DJ with no distinctive sound. Renowned for consistently pushing and exploring the boundaries of DJing, he enjoys finding unusual “frequencies, silence, and gaps” by playing records at the wrong speed, most influentially - giving 90’s trance a dark and EBM-influenced feel by slowing them down. Sharing music to provoke an emotive reaction, Ivkovic reaches for genres not usually heard on the dancefloor: “If you can make someone cry, maybe by accident, with a selection of music, it's a beautiful thing.”

Having finessed his skills at the world-famous Salon Des Amateurs alongside Lena Wilikens and Jan Schulte, Ivkovic now also runs Offen Music, a label specialised in authentic subjectivism.

This expansive offering for our series leans more towards a soundtrack than a club mix; a hypnotic meander through sound-scapes, samples and the consistently creative selections we've all come to embrace with Vladimir.

Key Clef is a Berlin based, italian dj and producer with strong passion for analogue instruments. After experiencing the last years of the flourishing rave scene in Rome and accomplishing a degree in sound engineering her creative process evolved into different directions from club music, to performance art and electro acoustics.
In her own world music is a continuous dialogue between styles and hybridation. Her music productions as well her live performances include synth, drum machines and analogue effects reflecting her ethereal trajectory while her dj sets show the full prism of her music taste and knowledge of the dance floor.
Key Clef sound doesn’t hit on surface instead aims to channel emotions and contact between her music and the listener. After maturing her sound over the years she is finally launched her own imprint Ipnotica Erotica rec distributed by Rubadub.

The label will freely follow different kinds of sounds, since it doesn’t want to establish itself as a music genre but wants to be a free artistic expression & more than to be expressed by a genre it is expressed through emotions. Emotions that arise through the endless flow of sound that should hypnotize the auditor bringing him to feel the music on a physical level , while feeling his self bounded and surrounded by it.

Diane Barbé is a sound artist and recordist based in Berlin. She researches the way we relate to our acoustic environments, using sound as a gentle medium to understand, represent and expand perception. In her live sets she mixes concrete sounds, acoustic instruments and minimalistic synthesis to achieve journeys much akin to lucid dreaming. For two years, she co-hosted the feminist radio show Hystereo on Berlin Community Radio, and has been producing acoustic ecology podcasts on Radio Nunc. Diane has released tapes with Jungle Gym (USA); her ambient music is featured on the 2019 Nachtdigital Mint compilation (Germany) or On Board Music imprint (2020) and she is cooking up some tunes for XYZ records (Czech Republic). She is currently training as a field recordist for documentaries and studying music at the UdK Berlin.

How does the presence or absence of light regulates our internal biological processes and moods?  Circadian rhythms are endogenous time-keeping systems that synchronize most organisms, from unicellular cyanobacterium to humans, to the external solar cycle. Since light information is the most potent synchronizing factor, biological clocks coordinate the individual’s internal physiological and biochemical processes according to light and dark cycles.
The show is divided into two sets of 1 hour and the musical selection of each reflects those moments: day or night.

Circadian Rhythm w. Diamin [Monthly Show]

As a result of and a response to the confinement of spring 2020 a new sonic collaboration was formed between three artists, challenging the idea of isolation and perception of space we are confined within.

Exploring empty vacated sites in East Berlin, the trio found their creative recluse in an abandoned hangar built in 1918, an architectural heritage, protected but abandoned, where a sequence of dome-like structures provided a stage and an instrument at once for musical improvisation to occur naturally.

A sense of sacred den, the building itself felt like a sonorous body, with high concrete ceilings swirling upwards and hollow, porous flooring below allowing a psychoacoustic phenomena of natural resonances to manifest.

Spontaneous improvisation took place, using found objects inside the hangar - pieces of wood, rock, glass and metal, together with other acoustic instruments brought by the musicians - double bass, accordion, cello, turkish cymbal, tibetan bowl, bells, and the voice as an omnipresent tool.

The supernatural echo of the building, almost sinister at times but hauntingly transient depending on the position of the sound source allowed the musicians to experiment with textural elements of their instruments and the impulse responses of the building.

Embodying the endless flux of vibrational energies, the trio created interpersonal resonances by engaging in a ‘Deep Listening and Deep Playing’ rituals, taking in the entirety of the sound-world around them including the acoustics of the space and the incidental sounds such as birds, insects, children in the playground, or rain dropping from the indented ceiling of the ruins.
All the elements in the compositions have been recorded on site and their unedited and raw qualities have been persevered in the pieces.
