The work of Emily Burridge and Guy Jackson offers the classic combination of cello and piano as an ideal foundation for film and TV soundtracks, both documentary and drama.
The twelve compositions on their CD, Sombre , shows off a dark, brooding and emotionally moving approach to writing.
Some tracks have been left as performed, while others have had orchestration and string arrangements added, demonstrating how a theme can be developed and sound shaped to suit different projects.
Sombre  offers a window on an extensive catalogue of works created by the duo, who are available for commissions.

Having Run

Hi all,
I'm really enjoying recording on my old Challen upright piano. I find you can express yourself so much better than you can with a vst. The piano is not the finest quality, but I do enjoy playing it and I think it has a certain charm. I'm planning to release an album in the next few months so I'd be really pleased to have your feedback :)

I currently write music for short films, television and video games inspired and influenced by the likes of modern composers such as James-Newton Howard, Alexander Desplat, James Horner and Philip Glass as well as 'classical' composers like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Gershwin and Holst (and countless others!).
