A capa que escolhi para esse Set Mix foi o Mapeamento de um circuito de Rádio Transmissor, com nome de artistas, bandas, fazendo uma evolução no cenário musical alternativo e independente do Rock para uma juventude rebelde, A ética de Bandas da década de 80's & 90's, onde há essa gravura da capa, apontando vários subgêneros musicais, inclusive o  Rock Underground e experimental, incluindo o Pós Punk(Post Punk). O  New Wave é Americano e o Post Punk é Britânico. O Pós Punk tinha Guitarra, Baixo, bateria e vocal,mas também misturava outras técnicas de estilos musicais como: Dub Reggae, Disco, etc,, e podemos dizer, que só surgiu por causa do movimento PUNK, por isso pós punk(Post Punk),  que foi uma fase dessas bandas que apareceram com a ideologia do Punk, e foi uma época de ouro com boas músicas, onde  absorvi, claro nem tudo, até porque tem muitas coisas para mostrar, mas essas eram as principais que conheci, e resolvi mostrar o meu conhecimento, misturando com New Wave.
Eu já vi escutar Pós Punk na década de 80's, apesar de ter surgido na década de 70's. Escutei poucas músicas, porque não tinha muito acesso,  entretanto, o pouco que escutei deu para fazer esse set mesclando com New Wave que irei guardar como recordação dessa época. O Pós Punk apesar de ser Inglês, culminou pelos Estados Unidos e no Brasil.

No Brasil, serviu como referências para o Rock da década de 80's, como por exemplo a Legião Urbana, que teve como referência, The Cure, The Smith, Talking Heads nos Paralamas do Sucesso.
 O New Wave mais pop, e o Post Punk um som mais agressivo. E para mesclar ainda mais, coloquei alguns Alternative Rock e Synthpop, porém, deixando o set mais New Wave e Post Punk. Espero que gostem

Set Mix Post Punk, Alternative Rock, Synthpop And New Wave 80's December 2019 By Augusto Carvalho

This time I bring you a classic set from 2005 with Radio Soulwax / 2 Many DJ's, where they were live behind the decks at BBC 1, 2nd of January, 2005 doing a proper uptempo mix with a lot of variation in styles, sound and mood - musical soulfood in a classic Soulwax way of doing things. I enjoyed the set very much and so I decided to share it with you. I hope you get something out of this, because I surely did.

I ripped a DASH audio stream, which was encoded with Opus 251 @ 160 kbps, from YouTube and rendered it with the Vorbis codec into an ogg file at 320 kbps. I then refurbished the wave data with two FabFilter VST3 plugs where Audacity worked as an interface for the workflow. It doesn't sound very advanced, I know, but less is sometimes more; the more minimal a system is the lower the risk of fail.

Q3 (EQ) - The standout feature is the dynamic EQ mode - a simple ‘dynamic range’ dial accompanies the regular gain parameters on Pro-Q3’s interface, allowing you to quickly add compression or expansion to specific frequency bands. The plugin’s carefully-designed algorithm sets the attack, release and threshold automatically, streamlining and simplifying the compression process. Dynamic EQ changes the gain of an EQ band dynamically, depending on the level of the input signal. This makes it possible to perform subtle and surgical edits similar to a multi-band compressor.

L2 (Limiter) - Loudness cannot be easily measured, because perceived loudness depends on frequencies and can be highly subjective. Peak Normalization and Hard Limiting led to make the audio louder, without having a firm reference. The sophisticated ITU-R BS.1770 algorithm, through psychoacoustic models, introduced a new standard for measurements: the aforementioned Loudness Units, which refers to the perceived loudness. The EBU R128 suggests a -23LU loudness target, although this target may vary on different countries and applications. I set L2 to work around a target loudness between -12LU and -9LU because CDDA target format uses these values and I want the final wave to be perceived as loud without clipping or having other kinds of artefacts in the sound.

Toda paixão pela música iniciou-se pelo final da era DISCO, na transição da DISCO para House. Toda essa vivência na época foram fatores importantes para o Feeling aguçado e toda uma gama de conhecimento que vai do Soul, Jazz, Funk, etc. Fatores esses que fizeram ter essa Paixão hoje pela House Músic.

Como ouvinte das rádios locais, participava juntamente com os locutores de rádios da época como César do Egito e Rubinho Jones, e também absorveu toda a geração dos djs da Gênesis que iam fazer o programa na rádio como ouvinte, pois eram privilegiados na época com bom repertório musical o que o fez enriquecer mais ainda seu vasto conhecimento musical.

Somente em 2002 começou a tocar em festas de aniversários, casamentos, festas privê, dentre outras onde foi adquirindo conhecimento.

Apresentou-se em club's como: Fábrica, Studio 7, House. Participou do Programa Zuada na rádio Mirante Fm onde éramos convidados para divulgarmos o som UNDERGROUND na época.Tocou em vários eventos do Verão Mirante, evento Eletro Beach, evento do Festival de Verão realizado pelo Marafolia,etc.

Participou do 1º Maranhão E-Music Conference(MEMC), pelos palestrantes Camilo Rocha e Cláudia Assef. Participou do WORKSHOP na UFMA,palestrado pelo Dj Flávio Griffo que teve como tema utilizado o REASON como ferramenta de produção musical. Participou do Curso de Princípios Básicos de Engenharia de Som ministrado pelo Engenheiro de Som Alemão Falk Grieffenhagen que trabalhou para o Kraftwerk.

Dedicação em pesquisas foram essenciais para ser conhecido por vários dj's com um bom repertório e uma boa musicalidade e com vasto conhecimento, sempre procurando a cada dia absorver as novidades, está ligado a novas tendências do mercado e até mesmo pesquisando algo experimental, afinal somos MUTANTES, e devemos sim conhecer o que é novo para termos uma opinião própria e educar nossos ouvidos.

Ao longo dos anos, veio aprimorando-se, não deixando-o levar por opiniões de terceiros. Não retém o modismo, tendo um feeling aguçado e muita musicalidade, faz a sua linha da e-music, passeando nas vertentes: House, Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House até o Techno.
