On several occasions, throughout various compositions of mine, I’ve emphasized how a melody or theme was based on something I wrote long ago, during my teenage years.
In this instance, the main theme is probably one of the very first things I ever composed—likely my first 'Eureka' moment, when I first gained some clarity about my musical gifts. Needless to say, this melody holds immense personal significance.
After all this time, I’ve finally decided to properly honor it by writing a set of variations.

VARISONIK - Magic Carpet

"Believe" is a whispered confession delivered into the heart of silence. This neo-classical piano piece weaves an emotional narrative with great subtlety, where each note seems to carry the weight of a memory, a promise, or a hope. The opening bars unfold with a delicate, almost fragile touch, as if the pianist hesitates to disturb the stillness. Gradually, the melody grows in depth, the harmonies blossom, revealing a quiet but unwavering inner strength.

Believe

Minimalist piano piece for the right hand alone, evoking the imminent death of a star and its final transformation into a supernova. Written in a hypnotic and slow-moving harmonic language, the piece explores the contrast between the fragility of a collapsing structure and the immense energy stored within its explosion.

cold-blooded is a reminder that you’re not uncool just ‘cause someone else is cold 🍃

Cold Blooded is a power pop/indie pop anthem that came out of a moment that felt both ridiculous and real. I had a writing session the same day as a party I wasn’t invited to—thrown by people I once considered friends. I’d known about it for a while, but when the day actually came, it still stung. Instead of spiraling, I brought that energy into the studio, and the song poured out with my co-writers.

Produced by Nico Lapitino, the track is built on gritty, chugging guitars and layered with atmospheric textures. Cold Blooded balances punchy pop-rock energy with space to feel—it captures that blend of empowerment and vulnerability, feeling hurt but choosing to own it with confidence and bite.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever been iced out, betrayed, or underestimated—and came back stronger. A reminder that your time, presence, and loyalty are valuable. And anyone who doesn’t see that? Their loss.

"Lingering Light in Winter’s Embrace" is a chamber composition for eight instruments, deeply rooted in the expressive tradition of the Russian musical school, profoundly inspired by the legacies of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Georgy Sviridov. The piece seeks to capture the ephemeral beauty of memory, weaving an atmosphere of tender melancholy and quiet contemplation, as if illuminated by the delicate glow of a winter landscape.

At its heart lies the theme of nostalgia — a longing for moments lost, expressed through a lyrical dialogue between the strings (first and second violins, viola, cello, and double bass) and the poignant timbre of the winds (flute, oboe, and clarinet). The strings evoke heartfelt emotions, whispering tales of cherished recollections, while the winds add a breath of airy lightness and a subtle shimmer of hope. The double bass provides a resonant foundation, grounding the composition in the timeless embrace of the natural world.

This work transcends a specific narrative, instead inviting listeners on an emotional journey — a meditation on the fleeting nature of time, the enduring power of the human spirit, and the universal search for harmony. Ron Snyder - Keep the Faith (Instrumental)

I began writing the harmony and the main guitar riffs of this song right on Blackout Tuesday. Watching antiracism protests around the world, really got me inspired. Hence the title of the song.

No Racists Allowed To Enjoy

I love to sing with my guitar. Love to play my guitar and sing.
I practice Zen too, so sometimes I combine traditional Zen Buddhist chants with guitar instrumentals that I have composed; other times, I just sing a folk or popular song that resonates with me.
June 24 2024 marked the release of ShoSaiMyo Vol.1, first released on Bandcamp. It features Five of the Zen and Sutras playlist songs that Brad Stock produced and engineered at Painted Sky Studios. Augusto Cantoral is a Mexican composer and pianist whose musical language has been described as “pure romance,” blending eclectic structures with deep emotional narratives. His style merges influences from Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninov, and Philip Glass into immersive harmonies and contemporary textures.

His works have premiered at festivals like *Aires* (Mexico City), with pieces such as *Campanas de viento* (2023) and *Paisaje Sonoro No. 1, Tormenta* (2024), as well as the *12th INBAL-SACM Autumn Festival*, where *Amour passé* (2024) was performed by Abd El Hadi Sabag.

Graduated with honors from FAMUNICACH, he blends traditional writing with extended techniques, soundscape creation, and digital processing. He currently teaches at FAMUNICACH’s Piano Academy and develops research and creative music projects.
