Everybody's favourite vibrant and electric, cassette distributing label from the West Coast, 100% SILK, is back with a couple of releases. SILK 104 is coming from Pleasure Model and SILK 105 sees The Cyclist make a full length return after his appearance on their Ghost Ship tribute compilation, "Silk to Dry the Tears". Entitled "Alabaster Thrones", the Birmingham-based producer delivers "tape throb", a sound that he himself has coined and developed over the years. There's a bit of a bonus to this release though as the initial four track offering is being sold either with or without an additional 6 track cassette featuring additional material.

The unexpected extra cassette, "Beat at the Heart of the City", dials down the hardware crunch and delivers six compositions from The Cyclist's analog vault, composed over a period of 9 years. From dancefloor ready grooves to shimmering beat-less melodies, there is something to catch the ear of even the pickiest listeners. Our premiere today comes courtesy of the first track and is entitled Lucille. Hazy chord stabs and crisp drums set this number up for some prime time footwork. Blending uplifting, emotional pads and haunting vocals with a contagious groove and a rising, arpeggiated acid melody, it's got all of the elements to be both a club or home use favourite.

Set for release on April 6th, the 12" vinyl and cassette package is really like a full length album and we highly recommend grabbing the two together from 100% SILK's Bandcamp.

A year from it’s inception, Artesian Sounds proudly presents ARS002, a debut EP introducing Emre Can Swim's unique brand of dubby, atmospheric low-bpm house music.
Envisioned as a visit to a distant island, the EP opens with ‘Another Shake’, greeting you as you come ashore with sweet melodies and a warm and tranquil mood. With ‘Golfclap’, you venture deeper into the mainland, the rainforest thickens and tribal dance ensues. Flip the record and things wind back down with hazy after-hours groover ‘Slide in Deep’. Finally, Aleksandir makes it a family affair and joins the expedition with a remix, packed with juno melodies and and rhodes-tinged broken beats.

Somewhat of a cult favourite, Shall Not Fade was born out of the city of Bristol in winter 2015 and since then has captured the hearts and minds of us all. They’ve came a long way since their debut release from a young Aussie talent, who unknowingly at the time would go on to become one of the biggest names in electronic music, Mall Grab. The rise of the label has been beautiful to watch and thoroughly deserved, consistently releasing record after record of the highest calibre while continuing to attract superstars; Adryiano, DJ Boring, Skream the list goes on... After establishing themselves in the music scene a new project was unveiled to us all, the sub-label of Lost Palms. Like any sub-label it gave them the adaptability to focus on a more specific sound, a smooth euphoric head-in-the-cloud sound that we are now all too familiar with. Subjoi, Harrison BDP and Demuja are a few names embedded onto the leaves of the Lost Palms. The twenty first Lost Palm gently falls into view and is delivered in expert style by Zoo Look. Already being aware of Zoo Look’s back catalogue, it's easy to see how this match up was inevitable to happen – a perfect musical match. Four completely unique tracks compile the Similar Steps EP, with the entitled track our premiere today. Arpeggiated chords slowly glide in from the mist to become submersed amongst a broken beat. The beautiful thing about this track is the constantly evolving sound winding and diving throughout the stages to make a piece of art. Athlete Whippet give a diverse selection of new wave talent free reign on their recently released Your Love Is Lifting Me EP. From the harmonic sensibilities of Istanbul-based Wunderkind Aleksandir to the sci-fi-inspired UK breaks of Nick Hoppner-protégé Cameo Blush, the result of no boundaries are six beautifully crafted reimaginations that each hold their own, all the while keeping the original integrity of the EP - to lift and connect with emotion.

The laidback electro groove of Newcastle-via-Berlin artist Edmondson makes no exception. Releasing on Me Me Me and Hypercolour as well as his own imprint lissoms, his music has found its way into sets at both ends of the spectrum, from BBC Radio 1 to Berghain.

Athlete Whippet say about his rework: “Our relationship with Sean started off as the classic internet friendship. We’ve always really digged his music and have just chatted for years off the back of that. We finally met earlier this year, so doing something together musically had to be the next logical step in our long-distance romance. Really love what he’s done to the track. Completely stripped it down and turned it on its head.”
